i was watching Marmalade Boy yesterday, it's really different from the manga. the situation between Nachan and Meiko lasts forever in the anime and Satoshi is there through the whole thing. it made me realise how great a character Satoshi really is heart , heres this guy that will do anything for this girl whos still in love with her ex-bofriend (and teacher(but he's a really young teacher and she's in highschool!)) she was so broken up that all he really wants to do is make her smile. he actually bribes her into smiling a couple time. and yeah in the beginning you think he's just a smooth guy w/ ulterior motives but it turns out he really cares about her. he beats up Nachan (which didn't happen in the manga) because he keeps hurting meiko, and Satoshi keeps Nachans "girlfriend" away from Meiko when she really needed it.
it's wierd though, for 8 or more episodes the center of attention was completely off the stars of the show miki and yuu.
i really love Satoshi thought he's such a sweet character, and he has long hair mrgreen heart
