Alex didn't believe in fairies, but here she was. She had fox ears, too; so strange. Life in the orphanage had been hard, but at least he had known what to expect. What was this new world going to be like? This world of fairies and love and magic? Would he like it? He seemed uneasy as he walked through the garden. And as suddenly as he missed his friend from the orphanage, there she was. Mothbite, she has been called, but all cleaned up and healthy, she seemed more of a Toby. And she was SO happy. Maybe he would like this place after all.
