She knew she shouldn't have entered the cave, but she did.
She knew she should not go any further when she noticed the animal bones -both large and small- scattered about the cave floor, but she continued on.
She didn't even pause when she finally came to the giant nest at the end of the cave, but climbed right in even as all her senses screamed to stop and run.
By then she was caught with no more opportunities left to flee.

Large golden eyes held her captive. The huge feathered head cocked sideways as she met it's gaze -incapable of doing otherwise.
She suddenly felt warm as if the sun were streaming in through a source unknown, and a gentle mothering voice echoed in her mind "Welcome home child"

She watched through the reflection of the creature's eyes as first her eyes, then her ears changed. Her nose seemed to melt down over her mouth and harden, her newely-clawed feet burst from her shoes.
Then there came a tail, then wings. She thought it would continue on from there, but nothing else happened. Heavy exhaustion caused her to sway and almost topple.

The creature stepped forward and nuzzled the top of her head "Rest child. Three days in sleep and you shall awaken in the form you were always ment to have."
