I breathe you in.
The sweet scent that is distinctly you:
The smell of pine mixed in with paint and coffee
And something unidentifiable, just you.
You bend your neck, bringing your lips closer to mine
We kiss and I revel in the taste of you
Champagne and lasagna--our dinner together
My hands move up your arms, feeling the muscles there
They move into your hair, silky and thick.
The kiss reminds me of your laughter,
Sweet, yet bitter.
You pull away, slowly
Your green eyes pierce my blue ones
I remove my hands from your black hair
