Just another lesson in how life never bores you if you're paying attention.
June 9, 08 Monday (although I'm writing this on the 10th)

What an eventful day. I keep forgetting the date, I had to look in a newspaper again.

We have brand new roads in our neighborhood! Woot! Midnight black and smooth as baby-butt! I thought all road construction was slow (like the road construction going on on Center street, which may under good conditions be done next year) but this new road went up overnight and had to be closed for half a day. Okay, so it's not as smooth as baby-butt, but it's really smooth!

I've taken to exercising most mornings, on my bike and on the treadmill. Also, I'll be walking dogs for money this summer. Our next door neighbors have already shown interest in me walking their dachsund, Shorty.

I went to the pool with my mom, my little sisters, and some little-sister friends today. It's really a small outdoor waterpark. I had to watch the Wee while Mom was doing water exercise in the lap lane. Also, a different kid at the pool hit his head and the lifeguards had to get him medical attention. It was worrying but he'll be okay. Also, that was the day I discovered the snack stand at that pool had food from TERIYAKI BOWL!!!! One of the little-sister friends had to lend me money, andn I got a bowl of chicken and a lemonade! But I only got 1/4 of the lemonade before I dropped it when readjusting the grip on my towel emo . I paid the girl back 7 bucks.

I went over to my best friends house and suggested that she teach me to swing a golf club (her family is way into golf. They even have a special room in their house where they can safely practice hitting balls.) After I got the hang of it she told me I was a natural. Then she had to leave for an activity, but I stayed and practiced for a while, then offered to walk their dog, then took some games home (her family recently got a gamecube but they have no good games. I'm always lending them games.)

Well, that's all that happened yesterday. Now I can't think of noteworthy things that happened today. Oh, wait, I made my very own french fries! I did everything right, but they were still white, and a little bit floppy, not stiff and golden like the McDonalds kind. I think next time I'll bake fries instead of frying them like the recipe said. Then they'd be crispier. My dad told me something creepy about McDonalds fries, though. It really isn't natural for fried potato strips to be bright yellow, so, according to him, they spray a kind of sugar onto the fries before frying and the sugar carmelizes to yellow when being cooked. I didn't think it was possible for me to trust McDonalds less, but I was wrong.

I'm going to make some money this summer (and my dad owes me a healthy sum) and at first I thought I would save up money to buy a Wii (200-600$, depending). But then I thought, I don't make that much money. Now I think the money my dad owes me alone would go a long way toward buying a DS (80$). That would be fun. I'd get Phantom Hourglass and Animal Crossing.
