Teh Riddle Master's Journal
This'll mostly be a gallery...That's just my guess though.
Writers' Retreat so far...
Wednesday, 8-24

Well. I had my pretty shitty birthday (hehe. that rhymes) eleven days ago. And now I get my 'present'. This camp seemed like a hot idea at the time, but now I'm not so sure. Oh well, too late to back out now.

So far as 3k goes, I should be fine leaving the boys behind. I don't have such a big role this game, and the Scarves can get along without their Kong-Ming for a few days. It's the Empire (on Gaia) that I'm worried about, though. I trust Donald, Jeff, and Altia, but I don't trust the rest of the FFA. Hopefully they can stand by their orders ad keep the Empire intact until I get back.

Well, that's all for me for now. I'm sure I'll be back.

I'm in a class right now. They just mentioned Mt. Han Zhong! Who would have guessed? Doing a reading right now, written during the Tung (Dong) Dynasty. Who would have thought?

Now it's some poem about some bird or bur. Reminds me of Church. People just need to start saying, "A-men!" XDD

A poem about, "dozens of mallards exploding from a pond." Kinda boring. With dry humor only a mother (and these people) could love.

This guy, McNulty, I think, looks like a white Cheech and Chong. All he needs is a joint and a bandana. XDDD

WTF is silver-brown? And what's a, "sprig of white bark"? Hehehe, he just said. "buttress."

And now he's talking about a time he went looking for a bear. Gawd, these people are idiots! Oh well. At least they can hold a good dinner conversation.

Well, apparently an owl is not only a messenger for the dead, but also a harbinger of death. Note to self: kill all owls.

I don't smoke, but if I did, I'd want a cig right now. *Le sigh.*

Hour and a half to go yet...I have Pocky right now. Yum. I think I'll have a piece/stick.

Turns out I'm a guinea pig for a new poem. I hope I don't contract cancer. Why do old white guys have to be so...old and white? XD

"It is that which is before you." Hua Nang. The only good thing I've heard so far.

A reference of Buddah! Huzzah! First victory for me!

This guy has a fetish for clouds and mists. Trying to think of a witty remark...Naw, nothing really good comes to mind. Ah! He said mist again!

Well. that's all for him! Let's see who's up next...

Hey hey! It's an even older and whiter guy! Lucky me...Bah, he took off his nametag. But it's some old, white guy name, I'm sure. His head is kind of pointy...

It's fun to make fun of the life's work of other people. Makes you glad you're not nearly as kooky!

AHHHH!!! More dry humor!

Well, now he's talking about his father. Le sigh...bah, screw the family and father crap. Honestly, who cares about their father?

He cherised wood. XDD I cherish my wood. I hug my p***s all the time. I heart you p***s. *hugs* Well, at leasr he can write well. That's really all that matters.

Has anyone seen the eye of a deer really up close? Honestly, without it being dead. Eyes are different when something dies. Human eyes, that is.

Bah. Now he's going into memories and his "first love." The Earth, that is.

Man this is long...The poem, that is. And my p***s, of course. XDD Gawd, I am funny.

I wish this guy would stop being so old and white.

I really should try to pay attention, but it is hard. I could probably learn a thing or two...Ah well. This kind of thing just isn't my bag, you know?

Now he is relating his father to a bird. Ho-boy. I have a feeling this won't be the last time, either. Ah well. Let's see what else he has in store.

Nevermind, it's over already. And he's off...

Hey, now a younger white guy is up. Byron, I believe his first name is. Let's see what he has in store for me...

Damn though, that Sarah Steele girl is hawt. Too bad she's with the company, and not a guest like me. But who knows? Maybe I can get a thing going between us...

Well, Byron's up. He's not standing right in front of the podium. Good man.

He's going to begin at the beginning. XDD

I'm thinking of maybe writting about the jellyfish incident. That is nature-y, right? ...I mean, it involves jellyfish and mud and water...and me getting stung in the nuts. XDDD

Tempetuous...That's a good word. I'll commit that to memory. Well, probably not...

I just fell into an...ummm...awake asleep. XD. Kinda drifted off there in my boredom with my eyes open.

Ack. More forced laughter. Why must you be so cruel, non-Jewish humor?!

I'm really trying to pay attention! Really! This genre just isn't me. I know I should listen but it's just...blah!

Yay! Nine-o-clock! We'll be done soon. I hope I hope I hope. I kinda wish I had gotten lost on the way here.

Oh! Byron's done! Closing remarks...

It's done. I'm off to my room now, Pine 5. My roomie, Michael Oliver, hasn't shown up yet. I hope he's cool. And not...hmmm...uncool. XDDD

Well, here I am. With the only two things in nature I do understand. The stars above me and the soft water below me. as I walked along the shaky, yet sturdy, dock, I happened to shine my flashlight on the mists that flank the boardwalk on either side. The mists glow with a strange light that I cannot place. The light of the moon is absent in the black night sky. But lo! The stars in all of their celestial glory beat and flash down upon me, chanting their faint hymns to the cold, fruitless water that lays beneath my feet. The moths dance their foreign bolero of fire before the captivating brilliance of my flashlight, their beating wings creating sonnets of shade on my page. They seem to emanate the same eerie power as the mists. They do not glow in the dark, but rather, with a grace and beauty we humans cannot comprehend, they absorb the darkness around them. In this, the calm storms of vapor are their own Milky Way, and the trail of the white moth becomes that of a shooting star. Thus and within, we see that the magnificence of the night sky is not in the dark, black, merciless cold, but in the small things, above and around us, that take away the nothingness we so fear.

That was my pitiful attempt at capturing what I see here at the docks. If there is a God, he has not meant for me to write of nature.

Back in my room, alone. Still have to set my alarm for the morning and do my nightly get-ready-for-bed regimen. I wish I had Altia here with me...I'll be back tomorrow, I think.

Well, I just got ouy of the shower and got done getting ready. I've already suffered my first injury, as well. I was reaching down in the shower to get my shampoo (watermelon scented) when I bumped my head on the metallic towel rack's edge. I figured it would only leave a bruise, but then I saw blood when I was washing my face, and quite a bit of it.

The wound itself is pretty superficial; it stopped bleeding for the most part when I applied Neosporin and a Band-Aid. I hope it will leave a cool scar, however. Scars are awesome. I just need three more and I will have twenty. XDD

Well, that's all for me. Peace out, yo.

I am noticing that I don't need a belt for my pants anymore. I hope I don't gain too much more weight. My grandmother feeds me too much.

Thursday, 8-25

Here I am, first one in the Dining Hall. Got my coffee right here. I only drink coffee so I don't start smoking. Well, smoking regularly, anyways. Ironically enough, I picked up the coffee habit going to Church.

I had a dream last night, though I am not sure who the people were. I mean, I've never seen them before. As usual, it involved sex and killing. Also as usual, I was the one who died. Woo, go me...

Oh, someone came in. I don't remember her name. Oh well.

I'm in the same spot that I ate dinner yesterday in. Fun fun.

I hope I see Sara (no 'h') again today. It's not just that she's cute, she's intelligent as well. Something about Altia I also like. I think that makes her all the more attractive, personally.

Well, more people piling in. Guess I'd better sign out.

Sound's like you've been having loads of fun there. xd
Hmm...maybe if you talk to Sara, that might work. Ever think of that?

I will agree most of it was bullcrap, but the cool thing is i found it interesting and found myself reading the whole thing. Thats talent, to take something so everyday and make it something worth reading. I wouldn't mind knowing how to write like that. Hehe
