"Maybe..." Minori said, he was about to reach for his phone when he stopped, his hand hovering over his pocket where his cell was. He put his hand down. He rested his arm on his knee and looked over towards Hanzo.
"...Don't make Kagura push anything on you." He started. "She's persistant. She sees something she likes and she will try everything in her power to get it, even if its attempting to thread a relationship together." he said, to Hanzo.
He bit his lip, it started to bleed a little from a cut he had gotten a few days ago. He licked it clean before he started again. "I know you chose Zo, over me. So you can stop wondering about whether or not I know, Hanzo. Because I already know." He said steadily.
"It's not very hard to tell when you don't talk as much as you do when I'm in the room. That and... a few other things." It was hurting him. His heart was starting to race and a knot was forming in his thoat. He wanted his dream to finally have an ending. He didn't care whether or not it was the ending he wanted or just an ending that ended most of his dreams, waking up in disappointment or sadness...even fear was fine. Just as long as he didn't wake up confused and lost more than he already was, or longing for for completion.
He promised himself when he gave Hanzo the promise ring. He didn't care anymore what Hanzo did with it. He could pawn it for all he cared. But it was the meaning behind it that made Minori feel like this was an appropriate time to do so. No one was here, just him and Hanzo.
"Hanzo. I love you. I still do. Even though you chose Zo. Zo's a great guy, even I think so, with his strange quirks." He smiled in self pity, "I can't compete with that. But...."
His eyes fell into a sad look that softened his smile. "...But..." He wondered how he should phrase it. Every way he thought made it sound so vain or egotistic or just plain clingy.
"Will you let me still love you? Even if you deny me with every inch of your body. Would you at least grant me the pleasure of still loving you?" that was the simplest way he could ask Hanzo. The only way he could and the most foolish way. He had to let Hanzo know that he still loved him. Let him know what he yearned for him, with his whole heart. Minori smiled at him.
"Heh...I-I even promise! I'll even sign my name on it! No stalking! N-None at all! Just let me be able to see you. Smile at you...send a flower or two during the year...offer to pay for dinner or even a movie. I don't care if Zo or the whole gay bar comes along. I won't do anything you don't want me do to. Just let me have the pleasure of loving you and know that you know I do." he said with a smile that he strained to keep on.
He didn't want to show Hanzo how torn up he had gotten. Why didn't he feel this tightening pain until now? Why didn't he turn in like all the other dramatic tragic lovers crying into his pillow at night? Or write depressing poetry or recite pathetic ballads to his pet bird? Or even go drinking until dawn and passing out at a random girl's house? He just lived life day by day. Accepting everything that came his way and tucking it into a neat file case. And now. All order was falling apart on him, in this rickety old warehouse... of all places! It felt so appropriate...and quaint that he was telling Hanzo all this here.
