....well...
Aah, my life has been long. Longer than any mortal could dream of, or ever imagine.

I just wish my destiny had been else, that I could live without this god forsaken thirst, always when my mind alerts... The sound of a heart's scared throbbing inside of a chest whenever i aproach, the smell of their lusturous blood, flowing through their veins.

This drink of life, this drink of death... It arouses me, and my longing for it is beyond any description. I am immortal, and my life is cursed...

It started with this lone soul, a poor youth who had wandered off the path and gotten lost in my forest. Was it my calling reaching his ears, or was it my loneliness, stretching as far as the dephts of his soul, I do not know...
As he entered my castle, his prescense awoke me from my deep slumber, leaving me restless to wander off my chambers.
But I did not approach him, it was darkening outside and I felt an eager wish for him to stay. From the shadows I followed him as he explored my property, in secret I offered him food by my diningtable. His growling stomach got the better of him and he fed until he could feed no more. Lighting a path for him to find bedding, I could notice his sences alert, suspicion brewing within his mind and chest and so I hid my prescense even further. I did not want to loose him, in panic he could flee from my castle, to be devoured by my fellow children of the night. But the food had tired him, and for my short leave to let him undress in peace, as I came back he was already asleep. Even as I stood there in the darkness, spare a single candle by the bedside, as I blew it out I could not to see his exposed throat. His eyes closed so gently and his hair spread in a golden cascade over the silken skin...
It was near I kissed those parted lips as I had swept his hair from his face to have a better view of him. I withdrew, confused I did not understand my feelings by then and I left the room, leaving him unharmed.

When the next day arrived, I had not tasted a single drop of blood, neither had I left my castle to feed. Again I had offered food to my guest. But this time he had more care as he fed, taking in his surroundings to admire every detail around where he was seated. But as he was done, he did not wander off to explore further. He stayed in his seat, as if he hoped to see the one showing such hospitality and tell his gratitude. But I stayed hidden, the sun to scorch me if I would ever thread it's light, I waited with patience. Eventually my guest couldn't keep himself so restless and he wandered off again, finding his way to my library without my guidance, where he scouted the shelves of countless of titles from around the world.
Warmed by a fire, he sat by the hearth, leaned back with a book in his hands. His eyes, blue and warm, soon grew weary of the text and it was not long before he had fallen asleep again. Taking the book, I put it back where it belonged, before I went back to rest my eyes upon him again. The time passed slowly and eventually it had grown dark outside my castle's walls again, but as he did not wake even once since he had fallen asleep, I started to wonder just how far he had traveled before he had ended up here. The nearest village was far from my properties and none of the villagers had ever dare to thread upon my land since I gained my immortality. So he was a traveler, but I had seen him carry nothing but his clothes as he entered my castle...

And so he remained a mystery to me, just as I to him. For days he stayed, passing his time by reading through book after book in my library, but he also grew weary of waiting. It was not hard to tell he wished to see me. And after nearly a week of his waiting, I revealed myself to him.
I must have been a rather startling sight, unfed for nearly a week, my hunger tore at my mind. But I remained as calmn as possible, even if he was unrest, he had found himself at home and fell asleep often while reading my books. By the time I appeared, he just woke from another slumber in my library, his eyes opening wide at his first sight of me. His heart beating like a drum inside of his chest, my craving was nearly to have me mad, but I still wished not to frighten him and so I stayed where I was.
Watching him as he calmed, I knew I cold be both horrifying, and alluring. My hair dark and my skin pale, my lips thin and my body tall. My eyes gray as dusk and the clothes I wore, always those of a man of wealth. I noticed him swallowing a few times, before he was able to speak.
"Are you the master of this castle?" He asked, his voice just as gentle and pure as his eyes. I gave him my short reply, that I was it's count, and that I was the one to treat him. I had noticed a slight deepen of the colour of his face, but I acted as if it had passed my conscious unnoticed. He thanked me, just as I had foreseen and he told me he would abuse my hospitality no more. But I did not wish for him to leave. So in exchange, I requested to hear why he had traveled here.
It was obvious that he was not obliged to tell at first. But eventually I got both his name and his reason of traveling. He was but a simple peasant, the son of a farmer. He had been chosen by his father to marry with another farmer's oldest daughter. But he knew she did not love him, as well as he did not have feelings for her, so for their both's best he had decided to flee and since then he had been on traveling foot. It was a short and simple story and I held no real reasons to ask him to stay any further. But something had me wish else... And I asked him to stay just one last night, so that he would not have to worry of the beasts of the night.

But I could not let him rest as before. Instead of leaving him be during the time he undressed, I stayed, watching him until there was not a single thread on his body. And he did not notice me before I had pinned him to the bed, kissing him with unveiled hunger, craving more of his body, than his blood. But he realised he could not struggle, as my strength by far surpassed his own and he was silent, still. Trying to keep his emotions hidden, he could not any longer hold his face when I penetrated him. But even as I hungered, even if his heart beat his blood to be warm inside of his veins. I could not sink my fangs into his skin, having that precious blood to be mine...
And so I hungered, releasing him I could move no more. Would he have wished so, he could have killed me or escaped, but he did not. Instead he stayed, shivering he sheltered himself with the sheets, his eyes now pained and his smooth skin was covered of tears.
"Why... When will you take my life...?" Was his words clogged with tears of anguish. He knew already what I was, yet he had accepted to stay. However, I could not find any answer to his simple question. I did not wish to take it...
Instead, I asked him why he had not escaped, if he already knew what I was. When he answered, he could not bear to have me in his eyes, but he turned his head from me, his voice more frail and weak now.
"I just whised to respect your hospitality..." But again I could see the tint of red crowning his ears, it was more than mere respect for me...
But if I had waited longer, would he had left? Wrapping my arms around him again, I held him close, my own body both pale and cold to his and I could feel the shivers beneath his skin. He did not reject me and we slept. He stayed in my castle, even as my thirst, my hunger was ever so strong, I could not take his blood. And when I once journeyed to the village, I could not take the blood of any else, returning to my castle, my hunger deeper than ever before. I grew weak, and it grew increasingly harder for me to withstand the only that could soothe my hunger...
But he came to me, offering what I could not take. He cut his skin, leaving his blood on my lips I grew wild and could not control myself. As I eventually recovered my sences, he had tears in his eyes once again, his hands so steadily to embrace me. He was not dead, but not far from death either.

Eventually he recovered, and we are both living here now. But I know far wiser than to hope this will last, I am still immortal and he is but a human. His life will end and mine shall continue forever... Even as I write this, he is awaiting me. In his bed where we have made love so many times during these years we have been together. I shall contine to love him even when his hair turns gray, and when his last breath is taken, so I shall also end my life. Our bodies to wither together and we shall be together forever.

This will be the last I will ever write, a memento of me and my lover. And a will to the world that will come after we have gone.
