I am just not sure what people will think if I don't get my permit and I am 16. I mean people will laugh and things because I don't have it. I really don't see why most people are in such a hurry to drive. Everyone wants freedom to go where they want to when they want to, but I just don't see the point. Yes I want the responsibility sure but I don't remember anything from the DEd class room and I was supposed to be born later. I am a preme. I can't just tell everyone I know at school and things that because I don't like to admit it. I really want to be happy about this type of thing because I have wanted to drive for a while now. I have a different perception than most however. I don't want to drive now that I am faced with being able to. I don't want to get a permit for a while until I can get things done but I don't want to be embarrassed in front of most of my friends because I don't have one. What should I do? I just don't know. I just don't see the permit and the other things that come along with it are what makes you mature enough to make your own decisions and to be a teenager. I just don't see it as a right of passage.
