Arguments

"You could've broken her neck!!" Luman growled after Uli had knocked Dragon out with a chop to the base of the neck. Checking Dragon's pulse, he sighed. "You just about ruined my plans you idiot!"

Backslapping Luman, Uli snapped, "You will not take that tone with me, brother! I am not the one who continually lost Rose!"

Glaring at Uli for a moment, Luman replied, "Rose has been in the vicinity of this dragon and its relatives during her entire time on Gaia. If not for my ingenious plan of capturing it when it had no powers, we would have no way to Rose!"

"You only got the idea because you saw those kitsunes draw the power out of it and that other one!" Uli retorted. After a split second pause, Uli said, "And you were not the only one who received an idea from that."

"What do you mean?" Luman asked, intensely curious.

Uli only smiled.

Waking Up

Groaning, Xangord pushed herself into a sitting position. She was dimly aware that something was not right--but the pounding in her head prevented her from thinking too clearly for the moment.

Keeping her eyes shut, Xangord removed her glasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose. As she rubbed the bridge of her nose, Xangord randomly thought, I have hands...and I'm wearing my glasses...lions don't have hands and they don't wear glasses....

Opening her eyes and putting her glasses on, Xangord saw she was in some steel cell with barely enough room to lay down lengthwise. As she surveyed her surroundings, Xangord became aware of something else. Grabbing a handful of hair, Xangord held it in front of her. Not quite believing what she saw, Xangord pulled on the hair a bit and was not too terribly surprised to feel the tug on her scalp.

"Okay. Not a wig, I really am blonde. Those who have normal color hair like this have no mana. ... This is not good."
