ok, so some of you have been wondering where i've been. i thought i'd mentioned it before but if i didn't, please forgive me.

my oldest and dearest IRL friend (and landlord) is getting married. THIS saturday. to a lovely young woman i consider to be family. they are on a tight budget and trying to save money on the wedding where ever they can. that means that pretty much every one who knows them in their personal life is being pressed into service in one way or another. i have been busy helping to put together wedding favors, picking up the grooms suit from the dry cleaners, offering advice (when solicited), and am on the set up/tear down crew as well as being the official photographer for everything involved, from the bachelorette party on through the wedding. the happy couple has been gifted with a really nice and expensive (and complicated) camera which they are letting me use to take the pictures. i'm not familiar with this camera so i've been busy taking lots of practice pictures to get a feel for it and learn the many settings it has. i'm not a professional photographer and i don't want to ruin their pictures. so i've been studying hard.

to say i'm busy would be an understatement. the only good thing is i'm not nearly as busy as the bride right now.

so that's where i've been/will be. i'll probably be in rough shape sunday, so i wouldn't expect to hear much from me until monday at least.
