Watercolors

The blue of the sky clashes with rain
Streaks of gray and blue
Making a perfect stain
Staining the thunderstorm a brew

Golden yellow, that of lightning
And blue of raindrops
Slash the sky with beautiful coloring
Wetting the grass and our crops

Blowing tree tops to and fro
Rain blows this way and that way
And rapid taps on your window
Then that beautiful moment of the first ray

Breaking the clouds apart
And making the drops of rain on green
Look alive and sharp
Having an ever greater sheen

As the last sprinkle leaves the sky
We see something very creative
With colors bright and shy
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and illustrated

Rainbow colors
Ray of light
Color lovers
And the ending of our dark night

Bringing news to all His people; He says
"This is the sign of love and mercy; I will never again flood the earth."
