2008 Anime Evolution Convention (Held at UBC)!!!: (Sunday, August 24th, 200 cool :

Well, I got up early today, about roughly 7:00 AM, and got dressed in my full S.W.A.T. gear and leave at 8:00 AM, so I could make my $40 dollars worth it. But it turns out that when we left at about 8:30 AM, we forgot our camera, and we had to go back home and recharge the battery for an hour... sweatdrop Oh yeah, and my brother didn't want to dress up because he was embarassed. razz Oh, and by the way, my brother, my mom and my dad went along too, but they didn't buy tickets lol. razz Oh well, good...I didn't want to get embarassed. sweatdrop But anyways, on the way there, it was raining, so I was like "Aww man, this sucks." crying But it turns out that when we got there, it was only light rain, so it's all good. whee 3nodding
When we reached the UBC (University of British Columbia) campus, I went to buy tickets for me and my brother. We went through the doors of the building in the Artist's Corner, and looked around a bit, and the art was very good, but it was kinda expensive... sweatdrop Anyways, we went upstairs and walked around a bit to see how it is, and then we went into the...Ballroom, is it? I'm not sure, but it was a bit small, but anyways...They had a competitiion, and two guys would face off at each other. I remember the one match-up when Robin from Teen Titans and a Hobo Guy were facing off. It was pretty funny. xd Oh! And my favorite parts were the Squall vs. Zack faceoff. whee Yeah, that was pretty funny, lol. At the beginning, the announcer, or host, or whoever, wanted each of them to comment or talk, and Zack's phone went off, and Zack said it was Riona (Squall's lover, lol) and he told Squall that she wanted Zack to give back her panties back to him lol. xd It was very funny. whee Oh, and I really like the Master Chief scence when he was pumping Dante full of lead lol. 3nodding That was pretty cool. I didn't really like the Wario one, that was pretty lame.
When we left the Ballroom, we walked around to find the gaming room where they were playing Counter Strike: Source, and I left to go find some of my friends. After a long time of searching, I found my friend Nicole (Well, she actually found me. xd ). She was like "Evan!?", and I was like "Nicole?!", and we talked and she talked about the different things that I could do here, and she told me about the Dealer's Room, where they were selling a bunch of cool stuff, and I was like okay, I'll go check it out. whee She dressed up pretty well. Oh by the way, Nicole and I go waaaay back, about grade 3, and I haven't seen her since... sweatdrop So, that was probably why I didn't really recognize her, but good thing that I told her what I was dresssing up as... sweatdrop razz
Anyways, I went into the Dealer's Room (It was pretty big, since it was in a gym) and looked at all these amazing things that you could get at a great price. Lol, I remember that one guy when he was trying to sell stuff, he called out "Yaoi! Yaoi! Get your Yaoi! Hot guy-on-guy action!". xd Man, that was funny. whee I got a bunch of cool stuff, like a small Anbu Kakashi doll for $5, three Haruhi Suzumiya figurines for $15, a Full Metal Alchemist wallscroll for $14, a Naruto Shuriken for $10, a Naruto Kunai holder that goes on your leg and a small pack for the back of your pants both for $17, a Make-out Paradise book for $10, a Final Fantasy VIII set (necklace, ring and mini-sword collection) for $15, and I think that's it lol. razz
When I went back, my mom and my brother found me, and they were angry or something since I never paid attention lol, but anyways, while they were being angry, I saw my best friend Amanda there, and I was like "Hey Amanda!", and she turned around and was like "Hey Evan!", so we were talking and stuff, and my mom was like "Come one! Let's get a picture!" or something, I couldn't really remember the words lol. sweatdrop But yeah, we got a couple pictures, and she told me about her drawings getting published, and I was very proud of her, since like it rarely happens. I'm proud of you, Amanda! biggrin
Anyways, after that, I was going to look for my friend, Nicole again, since my parents wanted to get a picture of me with her, and I went to go look for her, and I found her again at the Artist's Corner, and I asked her for a picture and we went over back to the sitting area, and my parents were gone! eek So, I told her to go back so I could find my parents, and I left to go look for them, and then I saw my mom lined up to buy pizza, and she said that dad was just going back to the sitting area, so I went back, and I told dad to wait there while I find her again. Antways, we got our pictures taken, as well as some other guy that just showed up to get our picture lol. sweatdrop razz
So yeah, then my dad says that we were going to eat, and I was like "Okay", and I told my brother Micheal about the Dealer's Room, and he was like "Huh!? I didn't know about that! I thought it was only this area, so yeah, I showed him it, and we bought a few more things there. razz We got some pretty good deals there. whee
When we went back, I had some pizza, and we were going to leave. It's too bad that I didn't see my Gaia friends there, it sucks... crying I never saw a Sasuke, Itachi and Dosu together, so I didn't want to talk to the wrong person... sweatdrop crying So yeah, we left at about 4:15 PM since our parking spot was going to expire.
Anyways, yeah that was my day today! ^^ whee I can't wait till next year, I'll be going all three days with my brother, this time, he'll be dressed up too! biggrin whee ^^
