"It's arrived, Marcus," Sendron said, holding up the letter, "Excellent, bring it here," Lord NightHound said, taking the paper and thanking Sendron for handing it to him. He read the page over, and his smile grew. Then he crumpled up the message, threw it up and then lit it with green flames in midair, "Alright, we're off!" Marcus clasped his advisor on the shoulder, and they were instantly inside the meeting room that the had assigned. Marcus took a seat at the end of the table, "Sit, Sendron, she will be here shortly." He said.
"Sire, why is it we have come here to find a person?" Sendron asked, it just didn't make much sense to him. His leige looked over to his old friend, "Because, as I told you, we require expendable life," He said.
"I am aware, but why here? Of all places, you could have taked one of your own servants."
"Well, because I don't want to risk the life of one of our own house, and I would perfer this way."
"But why Sire, why?"
"It is much more fun." He replied, with his usual content smile. The two sat in silence waiting for their hostess to arrive.
With a loud le of energy appeared before the table, her cousin only a step behind her. "So, good fellows. What exactly have you summoned me for? I understand you did not want to risk it in a message of paper." she asked as she sat back in a nicely stuffed chair, comfortably throwing her legs over the arm. she alerted her cousin to stay standing with a discreet flick of my hand.
"An excellent entrance, my dear!" Marcus said with a grin. Sendron simply kept his face straight, as usual. Before them sat a young woman, about eighteen, wearing plain brown robes. Sendron couldn't help but think of his lord's own fashion sense. She was obviously human, but was as elegant and lethe as an elf could be. Sendron was somewhat suprised, though he didn't show it. He had heard of the new head of Twilight's Shadow being young, but he had never expected this, "And unfortunatly the actual reason we are here will not be disclosed. I simply have a favor to ask of you, Misteress." Marcus spoke cheerfully,"We ask if you could loan us a person," Marcus continued, "Anyone will do, a beggar, or a noble. I really doesn't matter to us. But we would like you permission before endangering a member of your house in any way."
With a thoughtful tilt of her head peered closely at Marcus. "And jut how much danger shall my loaned person be in? For I can not in good conscience throw away a possibly useful member of my clan," she asked with a quiet air of authority. looked back to her first cousin, "go and look over the second set of our clan records in our rooms. Find a suitable candidate in case I agree, for I trust your judgement in such a matter."
With a small bow Cousin silently disappears.
