I'm going to be starting college on the 22nd and my parents and I were discussing it today. I was talking about how I was a little scared because it would be a new experience and I don't know how people will react to me. That's when my mom said, "Well then, you'd better dress differently than you have been." and my dad agreed with, "Yeah, because you don't want them to treat you badly based on appearances. You know how that experiment went when I dyed my hair blue and wore all those piercings. My teacher would hardly talk to me." At this point, I'm like, "Wtf?" I thought college students were more open-minded. Besides, I'm not THAT much of a freak. I don't have a bad fashion choice, just an interesting one. Most people love how I dress.
So, readers: Do you agree with my parents or do you agree with me? Will college be more prejudice than I think or will I fit in fine?
