"What is death?"
It's the last page in the book of life. It's an end to a beginning. The price for having lived.
"Are you afraid to die?"
I'm not afraid to die. When I die my body will return to the earth. Flowers will grow from it. I want to die when I have nothing left to live for. As long as I have something to live for I won't die. Even if my will is the only thing keeping me alive.
"Will there be an "after"?"
Not for me. Once I die I will decay and all the information and memories "I" once had will disappear. The only "after" will be in others memories of me. The afterlife people want to believe in is comforting but it's built on a wish not to become nothingness. People don't want to become nothing. That's what makes them fear death. I don't mind if I become nothing.
"From the earth we came and it is to the earth we must return."
"What would you wish for before you died?"
I'd wish to see all the people I've known and to speak to them one last time.
