Something about highschool is...
1. You go there and you totally love it, but too much of it can get to you.
2. If you're a freshman and afraid of the usual tricks, ask teachers or close people you know...
3. Try to go to things before you start highschool that give you information about the highschool
4. Don't be afraid to ask questions during class... this is your grade not anyone else's
5. Try to join as many clubs/sports as you can... you want that college application
to look good, don't you?
6. Participate during class and do your best on your work because everything you do in highschool shows up on a college application.
7. Jocks like to play tricks on people by saying they like you and it's probably obvious that they don't, so stay away if you think this is happening...
8. Stay tough... show people you aren't afraid to stand up for yourself... flip someone off if you feel the need to....
9. If you feel uncomfortable in any situation, tell a teacher or adult.. noone should have to feel uncomfortable during school.... so take care of it...
10. Friends are important, but if you have to do certain things to stay in a group, screw it, because you're the one in charge of your life and most likely those friends aren't going to be helping pay your bills when you're older.
If you do this, you'll be sure to have a great high school life, good college application, and a somewhat good reputation. Keep an eye out for these things and try to follow the main guidelines.... biggrin wink
