Chapter one
“Opposite”
I could hear my mom down stairs she was yelling at someone or something by the way she was saying it, so I decided to leave I would have gone down through the front door but I heard something break so I decided not to. I looked over my shoulder and saw my window I realized it was slant so maybe I could get on top of my roof and jump off what ever heights left, I climbed out my window and started to descend down my roof.
I moved in this house during the summer so I didn’t have a clue were I was going but I decided to try anyways I looked over the edge of my roof and saw that it was quite far down. I started to climb back up when my foot slipped. I saw all my life flash before my eyes, my child hood, my teen years, old break ups, and the current events. I slipped off the roof I screamed as load as I could but all was quiet, it was like all the sound in the world was sucked out and it felt like I was falling forever when I closed my eyes to meet my fate something hit me, it wasn’t really hurtful but I could feel pressure on my body and I hit the floor with a thump, I wiped my eyes open and saw that I was on the floor I sat up using my elbows, because my legs felt numb, I looked at my legs and saw them frozen they melted in a flash but it stunned me. My mother came out screaming my name “Dawn!” and screaming something that sounded like are you ok, but I was fine? Looked up from were I fell but I fell on the bush five feet from were I fell... something caught me... Or someone... But I blacked out. I awoke in the hospital with my mother snoring at the end of my bed, how classy could my mother get? I tried to say “hey mom” but only a weird squeaky sound came out she woke to the sound of a squeaky girl and screamed at the top of her lungs “WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!” I saw her face turn three different colors before she calmed down “ sweet heart what were you thinking” she said sadly I personally wanted to tell her I was leaving because she scared me but at the time that wasn’t the greatest idea so I lied “ sorry mom I wanted to just sit on my roof outside my window because I’ve always wanted to, but one of the tiles cracked and I fell” I said in sad tone she looked at me for a second then blinked rapidly for moment then said “All right first order of business get the roof redone” then closed her eyes like she was checking things of an imaginary list, Opened her eyes to the sound of the door “ Hello Miss Sandra? Am I correct?” said the doctor “and your name is?” said my mom I watch him stutter a bit with his words I understand why, my mother is a very beautiful person “um Willlock uh Peter Willlock ma'am” Said Doctor Willlock his words came out in one big word. “um but Miss Sandra may I talk to you in private?” “oh yes sure” said my mother in a shaky voice, they both walked together across the room into another bed area and closed the curtains I kinda got a bit mad because they kept whispering so I had to hear what was going on so I got out and crept up to the curtains and listened “ miss I don't know what to say... she had two degree frost burn on her left leg and you said she fell?” Said Dr. Willock “ Yes she fell I heard her scream on the way down and lucky she hit the bush near her window wait.. did you say had two degree frost burn?” said my mother confused “uh yes when you brought her here it started to heal instantly” he said in a strong voice My mother made some words that kinda sounded like WHAT!! but I had to run back to my bed because my mother was about to open the curtains and take me home I jumped back in the seconded she came bursting through the curtains she came up to me and took my hand then looked deeply in my eyes then said to me “ Dawn sweet heart get on your shoes were going to go home” said my mom firmly I saw my mom was angry so I didn't argue jumped out and got on my shoes she grabbed my hand firmly and dragged me out of the room I looked back and saw the doctor gave me a quick nod then vanished behind the wall.
