Day 1: Get ready, set, GO!
Welcom back!
As I promised, I will try to write weekly.
Last week, well I'm sorry but I was on the run.
So here's my first day of the run.
My mother and father were no longer people I would see any time I'd feel like visiting. I needed a place to live. I didn't bother using the sight for my parents told me one of my ability was to be darling to other people at first sight. I entered the city for the first time from the small home in the woods. My parents would take turns going out for suplies. I now had to abandom the little world and into the reas society.
the city was big. bigger than the small woods I knew. The buildings were so tall, I couldn't see the top. I wondered who would want to go up that high? i shuddered at the thought.
With a slight feeling of greed, I searched for a humble but good looking house.
I knocked on the door. Nothing happened. I saw a person with a big bag next door pushing a button. Around 5 seconds later, a human answered the door.
I pushed a similar button at the house I stood by. Just like the other house, around 5 seconds later, a boy around my hight answered the door.
"Um... was I expecting some one?" he said looking at my clothing.
Come to think about it I've attracted alot of eyes because of the diffrence in my clothing. It was still in rags from living away from other civilization for so long.
"I come from the woods near by. I've lived with my mother and father for all my life, but now they've passed on and now have no where to go. If you would be so kind, I would some how pay you back some how in the future," I said to the boy who made a stunned face.
"Uh... this isn't my house, I'm go to a near by highschool because my family wanted me to get a good education. If you would get a job and pay part of the rent, maybe you could live with us," he said staring at my face.
"Thank you so much! I will get a job one way or another. Thank you," I cried with joy as he let me in.
The house looked humble as I thought it would be. It did seem cosy and comftrable too. I stared in awe at the furniturs in the room as the boy tapped in on the shoulder.
"My sister wont be home for a while so you could use her room. Feel free to go though her clothes and find yourself an outfit. She'll only be glad if a girl in need used her clothes," he said as he showed me up stairs.
I mimicked his movements as i climbed up the stairs. it was tireing for my legs to I gave up and lifted up the ground hovering slightly so I would not alarm the boy.
The room however was covered in pink and purple. All kinds of face animal figures were scattered in the room.
The boy left the room to give me some privacy as I should changed my clothing.
I looked into the closet. As anyone would suspect, most of the clothes were pink and purple. I picked out one of the few rare light blue clothes. I've always loved he colour of the sky.
I reconized the denom as soon as I opened the closet for it's paticular sent. I looked at the shape. It was shaped exactly like my legs and I pulled them on. The shirt looked very fancy, the lases were every where and only two straps to hold them on. I put that on too any ways.
When I was done, I went down stairs. At the door, I saw a shiny object on a small table, it looked like a necklace, something that my mother always enjoied wearing.
I put that on too and floated down the stairs for I didn't know how to work the downwards.
The boy was on one of the bigest furniture staring at a moving picture on a big cube.
He raised his head towards me as he heard me aproch. He stared for a while untill he shock himself back into reality.
My mind ecoed as I heard his. He thought I looked very attractive. He hadn't seen anything strange of me yet.
"So, have you been to school? Wait before we get to that, what's your name and how old are you," he said reaching for a flat bumpy rectangle beside him.
"My given name is Kayla the...hem... I just like to be called Idela. And, I guess I'm 16," I said noticing that I shouldn't give him all the information I should at the moment.
"And, you haven't got any education," the boy said flicking the cube off.
"Well if you call the things you learn education, yes i have gotten education accually. My father was a biolegest, and my mother knew all kinds of languages," I told him, well almost the truth. My father was a werewolf and knew all kinds of things about life. My mother lived for centuries and learned unlimited amounts of things.
The boy only nodded at my response.
"If you don't mind, can I ask you a few questions as well?" I asked as politly as I can.
"Sure, go ahead," he said gestureing me to sit down.
"What is your name? How old are you?" I asked just like he did.
"My name is Joecy, and I am 17 years old," he answered right away.
"This my last question, but it may sound strange. How would you react if I told you that I'm not a normal human,"
The boy raised one eye brow, "What do you meen?" he said in confusion.
"Well," I said before I stood up from the cushy chair and flicked my finger slightly to show him one small ability I had.
The boy gasped sharply when he saw my finger light up with a small flaim. He shot up from his seat and stood there for a moment.
With a dash he ran to the phone and dialed only three numbers.
"Hello? Dad? Before I tell you anything, I know I'm not crazy, there's a girl here and she could make fire apear out of no where! I don't think she's human!" he yelled into the phone.
He nodded a few times and made a small sound to show that he's following and hung up.
"My dad is a police around here, he'll soon be here and take you to the military," he said with a greedy smile. "I'll be the hero of this war!" he yelled.
What war? The military? Why? What is that crazed look on his face? All those questions popped up in my head. But as those questions ringed in my head, my instincs told me I had to escape.
I went for the door, the boy blocked me.
I didn't want to alarm him but I stepped though him and stepped though the door and started to run.
