Described as a Romeo and Juliet story. And, I can't think of a better way to describe it. You learn right along with the characters all the reasons they should be apart, and you never hear why they should be together.
It gets off to a slow start. Even annoying at times, but ford through the first couple volumes, and the story sucks you in entirely. Completely. You won't be whole until you've finished it kind of sucks you in. *laughs*
Personally, I feel the story would have been better if it had stopped at Volume 11, which holds the climax and resolution to the entire story. At the end of Volume 11, it suddenly turns happy and bright, which makes sense because it's a happy time. However, the rest of the story focuses a lot on anger and sorrow, so the last quarter of 11 and the whole of volume 12 is very out of place. I would have been happier with an epilogue. They could have gotten all the same information into two chapters, rather than using a whole volume.
But read volume 12 anyway. XDD You won't be happy until you've learned what happened to everyone.
Overall: Go. Read it. Whenever you get the chance.
Parental Disclaimer: There is one scene where she wants to make love and he denies her. There is another scene where they do make love. There is nudity, but the 'interesting bits' are not drawn or are covered. Swearing is used, thought not often, and there are several fight scenes involving blood.
