Chapter 2: The Fairy's Plan
Gimpi, named so because he had trouble walking correctly, grew as well as one could with such a unique body. The queen grew to love him, and worried about him constantly. The other children in the palace didn't accept him, so he was always alone.
He loved to read and go on walks with his mother. One day, while Gimpi limped along and the queen tried unsuccessfully not to cry in front of her son, a fairy appeared to them.
The queen screamed and hid Gimpi behind her. "What do you want?" she cried.
"Peace, young woman. I'm here to help," said the beautiful floating girl.
The queen didn't trust her though. She'd trusted in fairies before, and look what had happened!
"I can help your son," said the fairy. "Just listen to me for a moment."
The queen hesitantly stepped forward and the fairy began to whisper in her ear...
To be continued... (Ahhh, I didn't know Gimpi was going to be a guy! Please ignore the fact that the pictures are of Sleeping Beauty, who is distinctly feminine. I'm doing what I can.)
