Panama is a fascinating place. It reminds me a lot of China at times.
The people are all great and really friendly once they welcome you
into their little group, but they try to charge whitey three times as
much as they charge Panamanians. There's also a lot of Indians and
Jamaicans here. Oddly, the black people here are a lot more
attractive than the ones back home, and they all speak Spanish.

I had a real Panamanian cab ride yesterday. That is, Humberto
Gonzales, my cab driver, who looked like a homicidal maniac with tiny,
tiny eyes and a pock marked Edward James Olmos face, would speed up,
then slam on his breaks, cursing and gesticulating wildly while some
car would slip in front of him, all the while texting on his phone and
changing from one loud talk radio station to the next in stand-still
traffic with a public bus billowing out black smoke next to us.

I dunno, I'm going to have to come back in three months or so, so I
need to learn as much Spanish as possible. WHEEE!
