Kyo and Ranmaru wandered around the woods after they escaped the house."Ahh,you have no idea where to go,why don't we just find our way back to your world"Ranmaru had been pestering her about going back ever since they joined back up.

Kyo held her head down as she walked around"I can't do that,..I made a promise to him that I would protect him and that I would always be there for him"She turned around and faced Ranmaru."If you want you can go back,but I'm not leaving until I find him"

Ranmaru sighed"You really are stubborn"He walked over to Kyo and placed his hand on her head"Well,I'm not leaving without you.Theres no way I'm gonna let Hideyuki have you"

She blinked at Ranmaru some.Kyo grinned at him as she took his hand off her head"Sounds like you want me for yourself"

Ranmaru started to blush and turned his head"I never said that,I just don't want someone like him to have you"

Kyo laughed softly then turned her head quickly when she smelled something."I know that smell"She turned into her wolf form and started running.

"He-hey,where are you going"Ranmaru called out to her when she ran.He chased after her to see where she was going.

As she was running Kyo thought to herself. "Theres no doubt in my mind thats Ryu's scent" Her heart started to pound against her chest as she thought of being able to see him.

Ranmaru continued to chase after her"Kyo!!Stop your gonna go over the cliff"

Kyo heard Ranmaru but didn't care about what he said.When she reached the cliff she jumped off of it landing on a smaller cliff below it.

Ranmaru stopped when he came to the cliff"Guess I have no choice"He jumped down and landed next to Kyo"Whats with you and running off like that"

Kyo stood on the edge of the cliff and looked beyond the horizon"It was him..it was Ryu's scent I smelled.That means we're getting close"

Ranmaru looked at Kyo with a sad look. "She really wants him back" He sighed alittle"Well then we should rest,its getting dark and your tired"

Kyo turned back into her original form and looked at Ranmaru"I'm fine,we should keep going."

Ranmaru walked over to Kyo and hugged her tightly"Please,just rest for Ryu"He knew she was tired and he really wanted her to rest.

Kyo looked down at the ground as Ranmaru hugged her"Alright..but we leave first thing in the morning"

Ranmaru nodded his head as he released Kyo from the hug.He started to walk back away from the cliff and went and sat against a rock"Don't worry,we'll get Ryu back"

Kyo turned around and looked up at the sky.The wind was calm yet it still pushed her hair throughout it.

Shortly after nightfall came.Ranmaru woke up to the sound of someone talking.He stood up and walked over to Kyo.

It appears that she was talking in her sleep"Ryu..we'll go get ice cream...and I'll make you a..cake..just wait for..me"Ranmaru smiled down at her and picked her up.

He walked over to his spot and held her in his arms as she slept.Ranmaru placed his hand on Kyo's head."Why is it you remind me so much of her"He sighed as he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Kyo woke up early in the morning,way before Ranmaru did.When she woke up she discovered that she was in his arms.Kyo blushed as she slowly slid out from under his arms trying not to wake him.

She walked over to the cliff and looked at the sky.She looked over her shoulder at Ranmaru and looked back ahead of her"I'm sorry,but I have to be the one to do this.I've already dragged you this far..I don't want you to die"Kyo jumped off the cliff and headed for the direction in which she smelled Ryu.

She continued to run until she saw a small ruin."He has to be in there"

Ranmaru woke up alittle later and discovered that Kyo wasn't there"Why does she always go off on her own"He got up and quickly ran after her following her scent.

Kyo turned into her wolf form and started sniffing the ground.She suddenly jumped back a few feet.

There was an arrow shot at her but since she jumped back it missed and hit the ground.Kyo looked at the direction where the arrow came from and saw Daisuke.

"It seems master was right about you coming,its such ashame that you have to die here"Daisuke grinned at Kyo as he stood a few feet away from her.

"Wheres Ryu,what have you done with him!?"Kyo looked at Daisuke as she growled at him.

He took out another arrow and readyied it on his bow"It shouldn't matter once your dead"

Kyo ran towards Daisuke "I'll kill you"She jumped in the air and aimed her fangs for his neck.

Daisuke shot the arrow at Kyo while she was in the air,piercing her in the in arm.

Kyo let out a loud howl when she was hit.She stood up after falling to the ground.Before she could get herself back together Daisuke came and kicked her forcing her to crash into a sharp rock.

Ranmaru stopped when he heard the howl.When he started to pick up the scent of blood he ran faster"Kyo don't you dare die"
