I'm a stray dog, a lost spirit, in need of a home
For now the streets of this earth is where i roam
Don't pity me, I'll eventually find my way
Either that or the dog catcher will find a new stray
I'm not an angel fallen from above, or a demon risen from below
I'm left in the grey. not knowing where to go
This earth gives me shelter, but specific instruction
It leaves with so many questions, no directions to function
The options are many, so many paths to choose
I'm wandering this earth not knowing what i have to loose
My music is my background noise, to destroy the silence
My heart and soul is my only reliance
I keep trekking through this mystery i was cast into
A walking contradiction this world must listen to
I cross paths with many but take few seriously
I'd like to believe that I don't wander deliriously
But I do, i can't help it, there's almost no control
Its a river I ride in with its own natural flow
I'm not dead but not really alive
I'm barley managing to survive
Enduring every struggle, not exactly unharmed
Never really too interested or alarmed
I'm a C student, just managing to get by
Not too interested but not willing to die
This life is hard to figure out, like a misty bog
But I still keep my snout pointed forward, a determined stray dog
