The inn owner was a large man with rather shaggy hair. A bushy beard covered more than half of his face, a lit cigar protruding from between his lips. He looked up from some sort of magazine, Nicky couldn’t tell if it was in English or not. His deep eyes scanned the two before he sighed. “Yes…?” He asked boredly.
“One room.” Cain said, tossing the man some money. The keeper caught it, tossing him a key in return. Nicky had been looking at the inn keeper, then her head whipped in Cain’s direction. “One room?! As in…we have to be in the SAME room?!” She exclaimed, taking a step back. Cain turned to her, his eyebrow raising once more. “Uh..yes?” He then turned towards the stairs, boredly walking up them to the room.
Nicky was left with her mouth agape slightly. The keeper looked her up and down, smirking. “Aye, you don’t wanna stay wit ‘im, you can always stay wit me.” He winked. Nicky’s eyes got a bit bigger before hurridly walking up the stairs after Cain.
Nicky almost sighed in relief once she entered the room, pleased to see that it contained two beds. Well…maybe part of her was a bit down about the fact. Cain walked to the space between the beds and dropped his bag onto the floor by one of them. With a small yawn, he pulled off his jacket. Next…his shirt. Nicky had never seen a chest so amazingly well…amazing!
She fell backwards onto her bed, eyes spinning. Cain rose an eyebrow, turning to her and leaning over her. “Uh…Nicky?” She blinked quickly then her face went through a few hundred shades of red. “A-Ah!” She squeeled, hurridly flipping onto her stomach and hiding her face.
The demon blinked out of sheer confusion, then shrugged his bare shoulders and left to take a shower. As soon as Nicky heard the door close, she shot upwards, face still boiling. “Good god, talk about being stupid. He probably thinks I’m some sort of freak now.” She mumbled, rubbing the back of her neck. “But…it can’t be helped.” She sighed, falling back over onto her bed, her head bouncing lightly on the pillow.
