I just realized, one of my very first (and rare) journal entries was explaining how to change your profiles. That was in early 2007 (I think) and since then, both Gaia and Tektek have gone through many changes and updates in layout and navigation. So here's my new guide for Old School Profiles! (Note: I don't know how self made codes or the Current/New Version Profiles work...)

For Classic Profiles:
1. Scroll over "My Gaia" and click on "Account Settings"

2. In the left column, there is a "Choose Profile" setting. Change it from "Current" to "Classic." After doing this, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save All Change."

3. Open a new tab/window (whatever floats your boat xd ) and go to tektek.org (this is a really important site on Gaia. They have item updates, you can make Dream Avatars, they have quest bars for tracking how close you are to getting an item, and I personally love the toolbar but I wouldn't add that unless you do like hardcore forum posting and stuff.... sweatdrop )

4. On TekTek, click "Gaia Profiles" in the upper right corner of the screen.

5. You can look for profiles on there. There is a search bar at the bottom of the page or you can click through the pages. If you search something, both Classic and Current profiles appear in the search results. Make sure you are only looking at the Classic/Old School profiles.

6. When you click on a profile, you will see a slightly larger preview of the profile. If you click on this, a new tab/window opens to show you what the entire profile looks like.

7. Once you have a profile picked, scroll down on it's page to find the Profile Code. Don't copy the code just yet. See the orange text right under "Profile Code"? It should say: Designed for a [CUSTOM/BLOCKS/GRUNNY/CLASSIC] setting on CLASSIC / OLD SCHOOL profile. (Custom is the most popular, followed by Blocks. I have never seen Grunny or Classic formatted codes.)

8. After seeing what setting the code is for, click back into Gaia. (Make sure you did save after Step 2.) Scroll over the arrow to the right of the Gear Icon that is for Account Settings. Click on "Profile Theme."

9. This section has two parts. Let's start with the top part, "Profile Theme." This is simple to deal with. Just click on the drop down menu and select Custom, Blocks, Grunny, or Classic, depending on the requirements of the profile you've picked. (If there's no drop down menu, go back to Step 2 and save this time...xD)

10. Go back to your TekTek page, and now you can copy the CSS code.

11. After copying the code, go back to Gaia and scroll down to the "Theme Override" section. Paste your profile code in the box and save.

Congrats! You now have a new profile!
