Believe me. A LOT of people don't believe other people, and just like to think whatever THEY believe when things go wrong in school, with friends. Now, they aren't the greatest friends if they won't believe you when they tell you something, but just because they are being that way, doesn't mean you should be. It's not a smart idea to do so, because you'll end up with no friends, just like if you keep getting mad at some one.
