The second and third chapter in Airborn is quite an introduction for many characters. It starts off like this. A year has passed since Matt Cruse the main character had saved and old injured man who was flying and hot-air balloon named Benjamin Malloy. Matt was getting to leave shore after a one week visit. All the passengers had aboard the air ship for a brand new world-wide cruise, because Matt Cruse was a cabin he had to show the 120 passengers to their staterooms and tell them how everything goes around the ship. All of a sudden an aircraft name Nimbus 638 was requesting landing on the Aurora, because it has two late arrived passengers.

This reminds me of one summer when my family planned a trip to go on a tour bus which took many places like Quebec, Ottawa, and Halifax. But due to our lateness we failed to reach the tour bus in time. The tour bus agents would not give us a refund and they blamed the whole event on us.

Out of the aircraft came a lady and her chaperone. The lady was about Matt’s age no more than 15, she has a long mahogany hair, pale looking face and her name was Kate de Vries. Her chaperone was quite big in size and her name was Ms. Simpkins.
