All my life i have been fascinated by Vampire's, I just never thought i would be one myself. I had lived a normal life, a human life that is until my 13th birthday when my parents decided to tell me the truth about who i really am. My parents never got along because my father was a Vampire and my mother was an Angel two very different species. At a young age my parents fell in love not knowing that each others clan were enemies. After two Long years of marriage i was born, and that revealed who my parents really were. Seeing me with red eyes disgusted my mother, and my father looking at my halo was ashamed that he betrayed his own family to be with this creature he called his wife. My mother still gave me her unconditional love, but my father on the other hand hated me. My father would never accept me as his son even if his life depended on it.
"Salinas!". "huh wah". That's me Shane Salinas,Vampire and Angel. I was asleep in class because i didn't get much sleep last night I was up on the computer. Doing what you might ask,research on vampires. Even though i know all about them i wanted to look up my Family history. So far i found nothing on the Salinas clan. I was half awake still when the teacher yelled at me, but somehow i managed to stay awake the rest of the period. I am 16 now so i had a job to do,school and my work in the library. I love books, my favorite thing to do is read and nothing more. Everyone at school thinks i am some weird book worm who wears eyeliner.Now i know what you are thinking, what kind of guy wears eyeliner, well i do. After school i met up with Bianca my best friend, I kinda have a crush on her,but that didn't stop us from being friends.
I was checking out a book to a student when Bianca came up to me and said she need to talk to me. We walked over to a table and sat down, but for some reason why i felt like something was up. "Shane I've been wanting to talk to you about something for a while. "About what?". She looked scared and started to turn pale, i thought she was going to pass out."Well, the winter formal is next week and I was wondering if......". Bianca put her head down and mumbled, "if you would go with me". Any normal human wouldn't have been able to hear her, but i wasn't human so i understood what she said.This was my big chance to go on a date with Bianca so of course i said yes. "Yea sure why not it will be fun". Little did i know that Bianca meant going not as friends,but as boyfriend and girlfriend.
I was shocked at the idea,I thought it was to make someone jealous,but she really meant it. "Shane will you.........be my boyfriend?". I passed out and awoke about two minutes later. I was still on the floor, but Bianca was over me trying to pick me up. I stood up fast to save her the struggle which scared her because of how quick i was. I turned around to look at Bianca, she was sitting on the floor still shocked because of my reaction.She knew that i was hiding something from her. I thought of maybe telling her the truth, but wasn't sure how. I couldn't just say "Hey I am Vampire and an Angel are we still friends?" I don't think so.
I stood there for a while staring at her,eyes locked.I suddenly turned around because i had the urge to bite her,I was hungry and needed blood.I could feel my fangs now so I ran out of the Library covering my mouth. As soon as I was out of plain sight I ran at full vampire speed, but since I was hungry my running didn't last long. I ran to the Bridge, got on the railing and jumped, Yes i could have died but like i said I am not human. As soon as I jumped my wings spread and I was flying,it was pitch black but my eye sight could see clear as day.
I reached home and saw my mom outside so i said hi. "Hey mom". "Hey how was school?". "Ok". She smiled that sweet smile she had,I went inside and ran to the fridge,grabbed my serum and went to my room. I didn't like drinking blood from a human so i took a special serum to help me control my thirst.I took the syringe and stabbed it in my heart to allow the serum to go straight to my veins. It hurt but the pain Faded quickly and my fangs went down just a bit,but i could still feel them.I laid on my bed relieved, but i still felt guilty that i wanted to bite Bianca. I lety myself drift to sleep but was awaken by a knock at my door...It was Bianca I could smell her from outside. "Come in". She opened the door slightly and stepped in.I sat up to greet her to my bed. "Are you ok? I mean you just left the Library". "I am fine i just needed to come home and help my mom". "Oh you know you still haven't given me an answer" She blushed
I sat silent, would it be worth dating Bianca for her safety.I thought it over, this is the girl of my dreams I will only get one chance. "Yes I would love to". She smiled and grabbed my hand " I have had a crush on you forever i was just afraid to tell you Shane". I looked down and smiled "I have also had a crush on you since we first met". She giggled and I lifted my head to look at her then I leaned over and kissed her cheek. "you missed". " what do you mean I missed?". "Think about it Shane". I understood i was just scared to do it,but i did anyways. I Kissed her and to my surprise she kissed me back. We stayed like that for about 2 minutes just kissing each other until my dad walked in. I thought my dad was mad enough that a human like Bianca was in the house. My father doesn't hate humans just the ones who wish they were Vampires and knew nothing about us, Bianca was one of them."I can explain dad", he said nothing and left. "Did i do something wrong?". "No he is always like that". I lied. Bianca stood up and said, "I should go its late". "Ok". I walked her to the door and Kissed her goodbye, I could hear my mom saying "aww how cute". I walked back to my room and on my way my father snarled at me i did the same back, showing i wasn't afraid.
The next day I met Bianca at the bus stop and we walked to school hand in hand.As we reached school I saw my Two best friends, Lucy Vengeance and Stephano Evans. Stephano was like a second mom to me, but both her and Lucy were Vampire as well. I told Bianca I would be back and ran to Lucy and Steph. "Going out with a human Shane are you crazy" Lucy didn't sound to happy about it."Crazy in Love yes, but not insane". Lucy shoved passed me and Stephano smiled, "She will get over it". I nodded and left back to catch up with Bianca who wasn't very far."what was that about?". "Nothing". She looked uneasy but we kept walking towards the school gate. On the way in I ran into Jason and Ryan,Vampires and not the good kind either. They drank blood but took to much and put their victims into shock who eventually died."Oh look Salinas has got a girlfriend". I ran towards him, fist clenched and ready to strike, but something held me back. It was Bianca she had grabbed my arm,"he's not worth it". She was right I was better than him and both me and me knew it.
I grabbed Bianca's hand and walked away,but as we were Jason whispered in my ear. "You better watch it Salinas one night you might find that human of yours drained". I ignored it and left to class, he wouldn't dare touch her.The first couple of periods went by fast but lunch dragged on which seemed to be hours on end. Bianca left to eat with her friends and I went with Lucy and Stephano. "I'm happy you two are finally together its cute". I smiled and said thanks, but Lucy was still upset she knew sooner or later something was gonna happen to Bianca. Something she wasn't telling me and wasn't going to. Lucy was going to let me find out on my own,when it was too late to do anything.
School ended and I met Bianca outside her class to walk her home."Can we go to the park instead?". She said it sweetly so i couldn't say no. We walked to Veterans park it was small but a nice little area. Since the sun was out i wore sunglasses. Sunlight didn't hurt me it would just make me weak. I pushed Bianca on the swings and we slid down the slides together, I had a great time. When we were leaving it was about Eight o clock and i smelled blood. It was Jason but he was alone and had blood dripping from his mouth.I could tell his pray broke free because there was a gunshot wound in his leg,and he was still hungry. Jason looked at me and then Bianca,when he did Jason smiled. I knew he was going to try and go after her, but i stood my ground and hid Bianca behind me. I could tell she was scared, she was shaking uncontrollably. "Its ok you'll be fine".Bianca had no idea what i was protecting her from but she knew it was bad and that i wouldn't let anything happen to her.
Me and Jason moved around in a circle, I kept my eye on him just to be safe if he tried attacking. I wasn't sure why but i felt as if Jason wasn't himself. Yes he still look vicious but calm in a way too. I stopped moving and so did Jason, then he just ran as if he was scared or something. I turned to Bianca who had calmed down a bit, "what is going on Shane?". "I don't know". I turned back around and stared at the spot where Jason once stood. "It was Jason but he wasn't himself". "What do you mean?". "I'm not sure myself". I decided not to take any chances and walk Bianca home.
Despite the fact that I hate Jason I was kind of worried. Jason and I used to be friends as kids but after his mother died he changed. When i got home I went to bed but had a hard time sleeping. It was because of the nightmares I have been having. Bianca was in them and in the end.......she died. I woke up sweating and breathing heavily, my chest hurt too but that was because i have asthma. I couldn't believe what i just saw, Bianca dying and i was standing over her dead body covered in blood. I don't know if she got hurt and i tried helping her or I.......killed her. NO! I know i didn't I would never hurt Bianca ever. I got up and walked to my balcony, it was a nice night and i smiled at the full moon. It calmed me down, but then i realized why Jason had ran. There was blood on the moon a sign of trouble for all vampires. Blood on the moon only appears if the Day of Reckoning is here, when all Vampires are killed. My dad showed up behind me,"you saw it too". "Yea what does it mean? The Day of Reckoning isn't supposed to happen for 200 years". " I have no clue although i would like to figure it out".He walked away and went to his study where he usually read books. I was racking my brain I mean I my own Father actually talked to me as if i was someone important to him.I looked back up at the moon one last time, cursed under my breathe and left to my Bed
I woke up early for some reason I just couldn't sleep anymore. I got dressed and went downstairs,To my surprise my dad was awake he is usually asleep till 11. I stared at him for a while then to my mom who was Making breakfast. "This is new, why is dad up so early?". "I don't know I came down this morning and he was sitting there on the phone with your grandfather". I made a sour face at that, my grandfather is wise but also crazy. I was named after his father who was murdered by my mother's family. I respected that. I had a middle name too, but I didn't tell anyone. My middle name is Angelus, a great Angel from my moms side who tried to make peace with Vampires. He was unsuccessful but he got through to one creature of the night, my grandfather. He taught me that it doesn't matter who you are on the outside, on the inside we're all connected and alike. If it wasn't for Angelus and my grandfather I would probably have hated Humans and my own kind.
It was the weekend and had nothing special planned,just to stay home like I always do.My cell rang,it was Bianca so I answered it.She asked me if i wanted to go to the movies,I told her yea and that I would go pick her up after i finished getting ready.For some reason she told me to meet her at the theaters and that there was no need to go to her house.I felt as if she was hiding something from me,but I promised myself that by the end of the day I would find out why she always never wanted to go to her house.

That is the introduction and a couple of paragraphs to my bibliography and horror book which still needs a title so comment me if you hated it or liked and give me some ideas if you will thank you =]
