Hey everybody. As u all know my name is Nikki. Ok so before i start i want to tell u again that some words might be spelled wrong and when i say flood or flooding it means when the river rises and water gets in ur house. I hope u already knew that though.
Ok so i live in North Dakota and where i live the city is flooding. The river crested at 40.81 feet and thats a record high! The US coast guard came here and is rescuing all the people that cant get out of there home and the US navy is here patrolling the dikes. The city put a dike put around my neighborhood and so thats keeping the water out. We have to walk all the way around the dike to get to our car though and that sucks. The city annouced a maditory evacuation advisory for our nieghbor hood because if the dike broke there wouldnt be enough time to get out. So i was staying at my grandparents house but that was too boring so i went to my friends grandparents house (my friend is there but her grandparents arent). The river crested at 40.81 feet and it is suppose to crest again at 37 feet. And i get to go home on wnsday! Thanks for listening! ByeBye!
