Glasgow smile is a form of torture used way back when. Imagine having the corners of your mouth cut a bit. Not that bad.
But that's the begining. You're then beaten and whipped, forced to scream. the more you scream the wider the cut gets. Sometimes you would get a Glasgow kiss (headbutt) Or, for men, you would be kicked in the groin, forced to scream even more. When it's over, you literally have a smile from ear to ear
