Also, I'm sure everyone is just dying to know exactly what Carniveil means, and why I chose the name. So now I'm going to tell you. Basically, it was around Mardi Gras (however you spell it, sorry people who celebrate it) and I was thinking about all of the parades and performances, and cool creepy masks, which turned into circuses and Carnivals, and I just kind of ended up with the name Carniveil. (Little things, as all of you writers and artists out there know, can trigger great ideas) The entire plot started out with the title, which is very important and not going to change. The entire point of it was to be about a circus of psychics who were trying to stop a wedding between their owner and a really mean lady. Originally, there weren't really going to be any love interests, and it was mainly just going to be all of that fun, creepy circus stuff, and I was going to continue with Frags, and it was all going to be a solo side plot. So it's supposed to sound a lot like Carnival, but instead of uhl, its ayl, like hail or mail. The veil was just noting to the main conflict of the plot, which was the wedding between the woman and the owner. Later, I was wondering why Carnival and Carnivore had the same sound to them, and since most words originate form greek or latin, and therefore words with the same sounds usually have similar meanings, I had to know what Carni meant. I looked it up, and it means flesh-eating. Originally Carnivals were Roman get-togethers where they would all watch lions and bears maul people. So, an added bonus to the meaning of Carniveil! It fits, because Zeline will be the one wearing the veil, and she pretty much eats everyone alive with her constant yelling, and when that veil goes up and the wedding is over, they might as well be eaten alive. So, the full meaning is "Flesh Eating Veil".
Hope you all really liked my wonderful explanation. Ciao.
