The rain pattered against the house. It was a slow day and all Selena wanted was for it to end. She wanted tomorrow to come so she could go back to work. After being shot in the leg, Leo made her stay home for a week. To come back early, she had promised him she would do some desk work. Although she didn't like it, it was better than staying home.
After she was shot at the scene, Adam had shot the man that shot her. Nice payback in her opinion. The pain wasn't excruciating, just unbareable. When the man was confirmed to be dead, the team rushed over to her to make sure she was ok.
The phone rang interrupting her train of thought. When she looked at the number on the screen, she didn't recognize it. She decided to answer anyway.
"Hello?"
"It's good to speak with you, Selena."
She looked confused. "Who is this?"
The man on the other end chuckled. "I'm the one who ordered the hit on you. Although, you weren't supposed to get hurt. I was hoping to see you. Maybe soon."
Her eyes widened. "What do you want with me?"
"Your knowledge, and skills. I also know your teammates would be very willing to help in a time of need. I hope to meet you soon." The call ended there.
Still freaked out, she dialed another number.
"Yeah, Leo."
"Leo, I think we've got a serious problem."
