Help me! I'm so scared!
Some guy was stalking me on Writerscafe. It started out as he messaged me about some detail he read in a book, and he wanted my opinion on it. It was really stupid, like a women covering a 6-year-old boy's mouth with her hand. I gave my opinion, and he kept asking about it, so I sent him three other messages. He asked me that if it was me, what would my hand be like, and I told him, I don't know, I'm still growing hopefully. Then, he finally said for me to call him. I reported him to the staff and I blocked him, but I'm scared he did some hacking and found out where I live. Please, help me!

SORRY, POWER WENT OUT

Don't worry. I'm an expert with preventing hacking.

TIP: it's not really a good idea to be aggravating a hacker. no matter how much you hate them, or how afraid you are, don't show it. just happily go with the flow.

TIP 2: the only way for a hacker to get your info, is if you told anyone. if you sent it over chat, sorry. he could have had it.

FIRST: if you haven't done so yet, just to be secure, change your passwords. ALL of them. Emails linked to that account as well, and any other accounts he may have hacked that linked to another one of your accounts. ALSO, if you have any accounts with the same pass, change them.

SECOND: get rid of any information about your real life self you don't want people knowing. general appearance isn't something you need to be worrying about: ie, hair, eye color, etc. if he already has your address, he already has it.

THIRD: tell your parents. they can always give you helpful tips.

FOURTH: give others the user so they can report the user as well. also give them chat logs and other information that'll be useful for sending a full-fledged report. if a site is large, admins usually don't check reports (since they have long lists and things to do) unless there are a lot of the same report.

FIFTH: learn for the future. you don't wanna be giving things out and setting things public for/to just any old person. hackings DO happen, i've seen it countless times.

That's all I can give ya for now. If anything happens, be sure to keep a big loop and have multiple ways of contacting people online in case all your accounts accidentally get hacked. Keep everyone updated on the situation, and tell them about your new accounts before your other ones have been hacked - preferably on multiple accounts you still owned and give proof.

A TIP FOR OTHERS: if your friend's been hacked, or he/she is acting weird, you wanna make sure that your friend, IS ACTUALLY your friend.

BUT it's also something not to be too scared about. sweatdrop NOBODY can EVER get to your information unless you put it out there. Most sites provide a great deal of privacy, too, just in case. And I'm pretty sure WritersCafe is a small enough site, they'll get right on your case. If worse comes to worse, you should have your parents protection and you can sue WritersCafe (for not protecting your account) and get a good sum of money out of it. AND the protection locally is amazing (police).

IF YOUR POSITIVE that your account has been hacked, create an alt (alternate account) and report your old account, so the admins can erase your info/ban your account before any information is stolen.

AND there are a lot of steps a hacker has to go through: 1. he has to find your password. if you never posted it anywhere, it's pretty much impossible for you them to find it. 2. if they CAN'T find your password, they have the option of hacking servers, which is ILLEGAL and most people won't go that far just to scare you or stalk you, no matter how crazy they are. 3. if they do find your password, they have to log into your account and steal all your info. this is harder than you think and it takes time. they also have to record it all before your account is banned. they don't have forever to steal your info. they have to be quick. and by the time they can even get into your account, your password could - SHOULD be switched already. most times it takes days for someone to hack your password, so it's best to change it (people recommend monthly) but I do it weekly. 4. after they get your information, they'll probably try and hack your email (if they didn't hack your email first to get your pass that way) and get all your info from your email, if it wasnt on your writerscafe account didn't have it. 5. then they have to take action. most times they won't come after you, they'll just try and threaten you. they're more at risk. plus, by now they've probably already broken a lot of laws - enough to pay a huge fine and/or go into jail.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BACKUPS OF EVERYTHING.

Most times people are just threatening, anyways. If I could see some chat (the messages he gave you), I could tell you how severe the problem is ^^ (PM me)
