Walking home was uncomfortable with Oz holding my and tightly. Oz must have seen my face in confusion and pain because he released my hand. I tried to think of something to block Oz’s image of our ghostly friends but he was to stubborn “Oz…um what was it that you were going to say earlier?”. Oz stopped walking and looked at me with gold eyes naked with sadness “It doesn’t matter anymore”
“Oz. What got you so nervous? Seeing you lost with words is just…not like you”. Oz didn’t look away, this time he cuffed my chin with his hand and leaned in close. My mind couldn’t comprehend what Oz was about to do as his face got closer to mine. “It doesn’t matter” he breathed on my face. He clenched his teeth in frustration and pulled away “…sorry…” he mumbled as he rolled away towards his house.
After getting home from the events of today laying in bed was comfortable. ‘What’s up with Oz? Why did he do that?’ I thought even though I knew the answer I wasn’t going to accept it.
Today I wasn’t late. I was actually right on time. I took my regular seat in front of Oz and sitting here never felt as complicated as it did now. Taking a glance behind something white and ghostly caught my eye. Raymun was sitting in his desk and at first I thought I was hallucinating but everyone was gawking at how hot he looked now.
Hearing Oz snort behind me reminded me of last night as he whispered “Hey. Sorry about last night. Oh and if things get worse Emily, Melanie, and Andre are here too.” I looked at three seats and saw the pale versions of my dear friends. “Class! Stop gawking at our students! Nothings new so copy!” ms. H barked and one by one students began to copy the board. Bringing out my note pad I too began to copy the boardAs the be;; rang everyone walked out still taking glances with murmurs and whispers being spoken. “Alice~” Emily sang as she hugged me tightly. Her short black brownish hair with yellow highlights brushed against my face as her skin began to make me shiver once again. Feeling my shaking Emily released me with a hint of sadness in her eyes but she held her smile “Are you cold?” she asked. My reply came through my chattering teeth “Y-Y-yea. W-W-Why a-are you s-so cooooold?” I had managed the word cold but it only sent more chills down my spine.
Emily just looked at me with the same dark brown eyes shaded with sadness again. Melanie and Andre walked out the classroom with Emily behind them leaving Raymun, me and Oz alone by ourselves. Oz coughed as he stood next to me “Um I guess we better be leaving.” this time Raymun was the first to cough but he just side stepped away and walked out the classroom.
