<Nami POV>

I followed Midori and Ami out of our dorm, I didn't know what was going on but Midori said it was a welcoming. For who I had no idea.

As we neared the gate I understood who the welcoming was for. The welcoming was for a boy that looked my age or older.In many ways I was drawn to him because he seemed familiar, but in other ways I feared him I sensed an unknown darkness in him one that immediately made me want to run away.

Then I noticed another newcomer that flanked at the boys side. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain at my calf it was like being stabbed there,I looked down but there was nothing there.

Immediately I inched and hid behind Shiki,the dog was staring at me. I didn't feel the pain anymore it must've been in my head.

Shiki seemed tense but I didn't care the dog was giving me the creeps.

"Hello you must be Hikaru Onizuka," Ichijo said in a friendly tone, he held out his hand. I met Ichijo a couple of hours ago he seemed pretty nice, he was also Ami's boyfriend they seemed like a fitting couple to me.

The boy named Hikaru shook his shaggy black hair licked with fire out of his crimson eyes.

"Nice to meet you, the headmaster told me I'd be greeted by other vampires," Hikaru said his voice was calm, hypnotizing.

"Well I'm the vice president here, you'll have your own dorm the uniforms are already in there." Ichijo said still smiling. "Kaname will talk to you later."

Hikaru nodded silently "Thanks." The whole time he looked into the dogs eyes.

Naoto spook "That's impressive that you can control fire hounds I heard that there really agressive."

Hikaru looked up and smiled shyly not sure what to make of us."Their actually really loyal once they are tamed," he answered quietly.

Ami and Midori watched in awe they obviously knew that fire hounds were hard supernatural animals to control.

Ami smiled. "Will he be staying here too,"Ami asked scratching, the fire hound behind his ears.

Hikaru nodded. "Shito will be staying here too."

Midori smiled Ami and her both liked the idea of Shito staying. I didn't. For some reason I felt like Shito was going to attack me at any minute.

-2 hours later-

It was almost time to leave the dorms I was already ready to go so was Shiki.
I was still a little bit freaked out over the fact that Shito could stay here. There was an awkward silence between us so I decided to break the ice.

"Shiki was I ever attacked by a fire hound," I asked with my head cocked to the side. I mean why else would I be afraid of Shito.

Shiki looked at me confused.

"Not that I know of why....," he asked with his eyebrows raised.

"I dunno um... well this is going to sound stupid but, I'm afraid of Shito," I sighed.

Shiki smirked.

"Well don't worry I'll make sure he doesn't attack you," Shiki said shyly.

For some reason this made me blush, I didn't know why though.

I heard Ami and Ichijo walking down the stairs her arm linked through his.

Ami smiled "Are you ready to go back to school Nami," she asked I had no idea how she knew i was down here after all she was blind.

I groaned "No, I don't want to do any work."

Ami giggled "Don't worry I'm sure Shiki will help you and don't freak out Midori and I will help you out too."

"Midori and Ami will do what?" Midori asked as she bounded down the stairs.

"I was saying how we'll help Nami catch up with her schoolwork," Ami said softly.

"Well I'll try to help, I can barely keep up on my schoolwork," Midori sighed. Obviously she was not excited about this and neither was I.


Just then we noticed Hikaru standing at the end of the staircase. It was strange nobody heard him. Hikaru looked out of place, confused as to what to do next.

"How did you do that," Naoto asked.

"Do what?," Hikaru asked with his eyebrows raised.

"Get down here so quietly nobody heard you enter."

Hikaru shrugged and sat down. After a couple of minutes everyone else came down and it was time to leave.

When we neared the gates I was greeted by the shrieks of fan girls.


"SHIKI SENPAI!!!"

One fan girl yelled.

"SHIKI WE LOVE YOU!!,"

Another girl crowed.

For some reason I felt jealous and I knew it was showing on my face because Naoto came up and whispered in my ear.

"They always do that you'll get used to it."

"How do you know," I asked ready to go and punch one of the girls in the crowd.

Naoto smirked "Trust me Shiki only has one girl in mind."

"Who," I asked, it hurt me to think of him liking someone else but I knew i was being possessive after all he wasn't my boyfriend.

"You'll find out soon," he answered and left it at that.

That's when I noticed that we were standing in front of the school.

"Welcome to Hell," Midori sighed while she dragged her feet towards the door.

Ami giggled and I smiled, I knew we both felt the same way.
