I stare at the blank paper. I know what I want to draw, but I have no idea how to get there. What do I do?
I draw a line. One that will be my horizon line. I know what to do now. I start sketching out the layout for my newest artwork. With the finish project in my head, this should be simple, right? Wrong. I can't draw the clouds like they are in my head... Where's my art teacher when I need her?
Oh well, I have her voice in my head, and all she's saying is that I should shade to get what I want. I don't want to do that.. Ok, forget the clouds, I'm going to work on the tree. I want a different tree... How about a broken one? that could work. A broken tree won't get in the way of my clouds that I will finish. The roots are starting to look good. Maybe my art teacher was right. Shading solves all my problems. I should try that on the clouds..
Hey, it worked. Now all I have to do is draw the sunrays and the grass and the mushrooms and I'll be done.
.... Am I done?
No, there can always be something more to add. I think I'll just put the drawing down and watch T.V...
