<Hikaru's POV>

"MOVE DAMN IT BEFORE I SHOOT YOU ALONG WITH THAT DEMONIC MUTT," a day class prefect glared at me.

I returned his glare with one of my own."This is a fire hound not a mutt and if you would quiet down and let me tame it, then you'd notice that they're not complete monsters."

The girl with sea green hair spoke next "Zero, Hikaru Onizuka knows what to do his affinity is to control fire hounds just let him do what's necessary,"she said soothingly.

He sighed and looked at her adoringly "Fine you win Midori." he looked at me and nodded.

Midori smiled at Zero. Her,Nami and the pink haired girl named Ami looked at me expectantly. I turned and faced the fire hound, it looked different then Shito instead of having tawny brown fur it had jet black hair like mine and it also had crimson running through. Adding to its appearance was the crimson blood that was on his snout and fur, only making him appear more menacing. I also knew he probably had a good hunt, fire hounds didn't hunt humans or vamps they attacked for the thrill. It also had glowing red eyes.

The thing about my power was I had a physic bound with every fire hound I came in contact with. I looked deep into the fire hounds eyes and started to tame it, once I thought it was safe for me to come near it i did. I held out my hand it's snout came to contact with my hand and sniffed cautiously, then it did what most other fire hounds did.

It held my hand in it's mouth not hurting me or not strong enough to break bones. Nami gasped, I smiled most people always thought the fire hound was biting me but that was not the case.

"It's okay it's their way of saying they understand and will not attack," I explained.

Relief flushed onto Midori and Ami's face however Nami didn't seem convinced.

Zero nodded and put his arm around Midori's waist.

"What'll happen to it," Nami asked.

"It'll probably go back to wandering around," I said.

"It won't attack anyone will it, because if it does I won't hesitate to kill it," the boy with silver hair that went by the name Zero said.

I sighed. "It won't attack it's tame now, it was a newborn all newborns are unruly they like to obey people with the affinity and on top of that they can only be killed with fire your bullets will have no affect against them."

"So fire hounds only behave people with your affinity," Ami asked now looking at me with her almost translucent eyes.

"Yes exactly," I said.

I looked at the fire hound and mentally told it not to return and not to attack. It must've got the picture because like that it disappeared. I shrugged before turning to leave.

"Wait Hikaru so Shito won't attack unless you tell him to," Nami said looked reassured.

"Yes Shito won't attack unless on command."

Just then we heard other footsteps coming near, it was the rest of the night class they obviously heard the commotion.

Kaname stepped forward from the group and walked towards us.

"Zero what happened,"he asked bitterly.

Zero glared and removed his arm from Midori's waist.

"Nothing much Kuran the transfer just took care of a fire hound that tried to attack that's all," he said in an irritated tone.

Kaname then turned his attention to me, I just stood there not feeling anything.

"Thank you for doing that, were lucky to have you here," he said nodding.

I didn't say anything I was cautious around him, I promised Kabuto that I would earn his trust and I didn't want Kaname to find out the plan.

I nodded "Anything to help," I mumbled.

The rest of the Night Class watched me in awe, it made me feel uncomfortable.

"Time to go back now it's almost morning,"Kaname almost seemed command them, it reminded me of Kabuto and how he controlled most of the borderline vampires. The rest of the Night Class including myself followed him back to the dorm.

Before Midori,Ami,Nami and I went back to our dorms Kaname kept us from going back.

"All of you are expected to be in your classes tomorrow, you won't be happy if you skip tomorrow and I find out," he said before walking away.

Ami,Midori,and Nami nodded, I just stood there. Thinking.

'What have you gotton me into brother,' I thought.

When I walked in my dorm and laid down on my bed more like collapsed my brother's mind entered mine.

"Good job little brother just keep up what you doing Flame is fine our plan went well, you worked it out perfectly by making Flame try to attack those two girls'"

I felt a pang of hatred run through me I hated using my powers for his benefit, but who knows what he would do to them if I hadn't agreed.

"Thank you brother" After saying that I sighed and closed my eyes hoping to fall to sleep easily. Shito came and sniffed my hand I ran my fingers through his fur and with that we both fell asleep.
