chapter 4
“You don’t need me as a friend. You have your girlfriend, your girlfriends close friends, and the entire the track team,” Caroline confirmed him. “Well I was hoping you would join the track team remember?” Seth said with a puppy dog face. Caroline laughed with a gasp,” “Fine, I need something to do to get me in college any ways.” Caroline said. “Awesome,” Seth shrieked, “Hey Mr. Turf. Sign Care up for track!” “He did not just call me by my nick-name,” Caroline screamed inside her head. “Is that what you want to do Caroline?” Mr. Turf asked. “Yes sir,” confirmed Caroline. “We meet tomorrow after school,” said Seth. “What?” Caroline said confused. “For track,” Seth chuckled. “Oh, ha ha,” Caroline laughed. “I have terrible ADD.” Caroline pulled out a pen and marked it on her hand. “Dana won’t let me do that.” Seth said pointing to Care’s hand. “Write on your hand?” Caroline said shocked. Seth nodded. “She’s afraid that it would rub all over her hand as we walk down the hall. She’s more of a write on paper and folds it up to pass it around type of girl.” Caroline laughed. “Say, can I see your pen?” “Sure,” replied Caroline. As Caroline passed the pen over to Seth, Seth took it and began drawing and writing all over his hands. Caroline stared with her mouth opened. “Pretty vigorous, huh?” Seth said with a smile as bright as the sun. “Vigorous?” Caroline repeated. “You know,” Seth began. “Powerful in action or effect. Strong?” Caroline smiled. “Yes,” she said. “Yes it was.”
