Ryu sat in a chair,close to the edge of his bed as he looked at Masumi.He held his head down,placing both his palms over his face.He was ashamed that he let this happen,and felt betrayed by the one who did it "Why....Why would she do that.."
He had carried her back to his house,not caring to ever return to Kyo's place,his hair and pants soaked from the rain.His shirt hung over the back of the chair,it was used to shield Masumi from the rain
He slid his fingers to the side,creating a small crack for him to stare at the floor"Wasn't I enough....She was planning this from the start...and I let it happen"Ryu clenched his hand in a fist,keeping it on his face
"U-Uhhhh...."Masumi opened her eyes weakly,her vision slightly blurred once they were open"K-Kyo...sama.."
Ryu quickly turned his attention over to Masumi as he heard her voice"You don't have to worry about her anymore...she's not here.."
"N-No....you don't understand...sh-she.."She sat up alittle,making stop to grab hold of the side of her neck.The pain of it wanted to make her cry,her eyes slowly filled with tears
"Don't move!"Ryu stood up from the chair,about to reach out to her in concern"Get her off your mind...she tried to kill you...she would have if I had never came"
Masumi shook her head lightly at his comment"N-No...you don't get it...Kyo...wasn't herself...she was...different.."
Ryu growled softly to himself"She wasn't different...thats how she must always act.She only used us so she had complete control over what she was doing"
"No!Don't say that..."Masumi clenched the covers tight in her hand,her eyes closed tight but a tear still escaping thier grasp and rolling down her face"You don't know...you weren't there..You didn't see the way she looked!Her eyes....they showed no type of emotion what so ever!"
"So tell me.....tell me...do you really think Kyo would have done something like that!?"Masumi snapped at Ryu,her eyes filled with so many tears they weren;t able to be contained
"..."Ryu turned his head to the side,he had hatred in his heart for her...but he wanted so hard to believe that Masumi was right
"You have to go out for her"Masumi laid back down,the pain from her neck being more then she could bare,her eyes closing as she passed out
Ryu looked down at the floor,walking towards the door.He stared at the lines of the floorboards until they stopped at the exit,turning out the light to his room and closing the door softly
He stayed quiet as he walked down the sidewalk,his heart pounding against his chest.Ryu could hear it,it was crying out for her,the thumping of it getting louder "Stop it.....Stop it.....please...just stop it.."
Two days had passed,Ryu and Masumi returning back to school on both days.Yet there was no sign of Kyo.
Even though he was hoping for it,she had never showed up at Ryu's house.Even the teachers and classmates started to think it was wierd that he didn't ask about her to Masumi.
Ryu stuck his key into the lock,twisting it to open the door.He pulled the key out,noticing the door didn't unlock"..."He stared down at the key,it was Kyo's key.
He had changed the locks on his door just in case she ever came back,but he still kept the key for some unknown reason.Ryu reached into his pocket,pulling out another key,this time getting the door to unlock.
He walked inside,shutting the door softly behind him.From the corner of his eye he could see the coat rack,on it...the first key Kyo had made for herself.It hung there motionless,untouched...
Ryu stared at the stairs,the flashback of the first time he willingly let her drink from him all coming back."..."His eyes filled with sadness,yet with no emotion at all
The room remained dark,the sound of a light breeze being heard as it got darker.The window shattered into pieces.Kyo sat in the corner of her room,her knees embraced close to her chest as her arms wrapped around them tightly.
She stayed that way,from the moment she ran away from Ryu.She no longer had any intention of ever returning,nor of living "Please...kill me now...Katsutoshi..."
Ryu leant back againt the door,slowly sliding down until he was on his knees"Please...kill me now..."
Though they were apart,the moment of which they spoke was the same.
