Basic classes and titles.
Fighter, Mage, Thief, Scout
1.
Fighter: Even though anyone can be a fighter, only the truly great ones are trained. Incredibly tough, incredibly strong, fighters are either the most honorable, or the most evil of classes. Unable to use magic, and unable to use bows or guns with any sort of efficiency, they have mastered using every melee weapon. Fighters normally choose a single weapon to master. Fighters can use one handed weapons, shields and two handed weapons.
First titles:
Warrior: Fighters who use two handed weapons will find themselves known as warriors. Warriors are violent fighters, who hurl themselves into combat and destroy their opponents with overwhelming power. Warriors are typically bandits, and aren't usually very honorable.
Knight: Fighters who use one handed weapons and shield will find themselves known as knights. Knights aren't as powerful as warriors, but their defense is much greater. Not usually very violent, and rather pacifistic for a fighter, Knights pledge their allegiance to the Kingdom or Alliance.
Second titles:
Berserker: Warriors who gain a good (or bad as the case may be.) reputation and master their fighting style will find themselves known as Berserkers. Berserkers are incredibly powerful, even more so than a warrior. They are also known as Dragonknights, as a warrior can only become a berserker after making a contract with a dragon. This allows them incredible power, including the strength to dual wield two handed weaponry.
Paladin: Knights who gain a good reputation and master their fighting style will find themselves known as Paladins. Paladins have gone through increible training to match berserkers, and have pledged themselves wholly to their kingdom. Paladins have an unbreakable sense of honor. Another bonus is that Paladins have also gained the ability to use certain magic. Light magic, more importantly, that allows them to create weapons and shield of light, as well as heal people. Paladins can use one handed weapons and shields.
2.
Mage: It takes a very powerful mind to be a mage. Mages can use all sorts of magic, and can use charms and other tools to help them. They might be an amulet, or a bracelet or something simple like that, or a staff that has a dragons heart sealed within. Mages can use staves, wands, knives and daggers.
First titles:
Priest: This is the mages knight. They have pledged themselves to a kingdom and now serve a greater good. Priests don't have much offensive magic, but have healing magic better than a paladins. They are very pure beings that believe there is good in everyone. Priests use staves and wands.
Wizard: If a priest is a knight, then a wizard is a warrior. Their forte is Battle magic, whether it be offensive or defensive. Wizards are sometimes called dark mages, though not all wizards are evil.
Second titles:
Saint: The highest rank of holy being, a saint has the greatest healing magic of all classes, though one can only become a saint if they are blessed by their Lord, who will only bless them if they have proven their loyalty and skill. Saints are incredibly pacifistic, even by pacifistic standards. Some won't eat plants that are grown in a garden, considering it to be a vegetable slaughterhouse. Saints are often known as angelic warriors, as their ultimate ability is light form. Their body is consumed by holy magic, and they get wings of light. This form is temporary, but also incredibly powerful. It is also known as Angel Wings.
Warlock: Warlocks are the most destructive magical being in all of Xen. Warlocks must be blessed by a demon, just as a saint must be blessed by a Lord. A wizard must summon this demon themselves as proof of their power. Warlocks have the most destructive magical spells and the most powerful defensive ones, though they lack the ability to heal. Warlocks also have Shadow Form, or Demonic Form, which gives them even more power.
3.
Thief: Although they are called thieves, they don't always steal from everyone. In fact, some help people. They are very dangerous fighters that hide in the shadows, or attack using confusing tactics and blinding speed. Most Thieves don't ally themselves with anyone, but some do. Thieves use daggers, knives, and thown weapons.
First titles:
Rogue: A rogue, despite what the name implies, typically travels in a group of other like it. Rogues battle using incredible speed, and tactics that confuse their enemies. Though melee fighters with incredible power, it isn't like a warriors. Warriors deal massive amount of damage no matter what, while rogues typically know a good deal about the human anatomy and go for weak points. Hence their motto, "Go for the throat.". Rogues use dual wielded daggers and knives.
Ninja: Unlike "Naruto" ninja's, true ninja's are the ranged counterpart of a rogue. They attack from the shadows, usually when someone else is distracting their target. (Not always though.) Ninja like to keep themselves concealed, including wearing masks so their identity is protected, even in light. Ninja also usually don't ally themselves to anyone. Ninja use thrown weapons like shuriken, or throwing knives. (These knives can double as melee weapons, though not as effective as a normal knife.)
Second titles:
Knave: Rogues who get a bad reputation and become adept with their daggers will find themselves called Knaves. This is both a comment and an insult. Knaves fight using the same tactics as a Rogue, though they have much more skill and speed. Knaves also have enough strength to dual wield swords. (One handed ones.)
Assassin: Ninja who have proven themselves as good enough killer and have become adept enough with thrown weapons will find themselves known as Assassins. Assassins are incredibly dangerous, as they can easily cuase instant death with their weapons. They have also learned of explosive weapons, and will sometimes use explosive and poisons on their weapons.
4.
Scout: This class is the only all ranged class. They even use ranged weaponry in melee combat. Scouts are fast moving, sharp eyed, steady handed fighters who can split a flower from a hundred yards if they have enough training. Scouts also ally themselves with a kingdom, and are usually reconnaissance. They scout an area and report back to their superiors. Scouts use bows, crossbows, or guns. (Not AK-47 type, sorry peeps.)
First titles:
Gunner: Gunners are scout who have forsaken their bows for the more powerful gun. Gunners can use an array of guns, from pistols to rifles. Some are rapid fire, while others are snipers. Gunners don't scout, as their weapons are far to loud. They instead guard the kingdom they have allied to, and are in just about war as back up for melee fighters.
Archer: Archers are scouts who have forsaken guns to pursue a more naturist approach. Archers are the reason scouts are known as scouts, as their weapons are quiet enough for someone doing reconnaissance. Archers tend to have a further range than Gunners.
Second titles:
Gunslinger: Gunslinger are masters of their firearm, and are given "high tech" armor. (High tech in this time is Magical.) They are always seen wearing at least one part of this armor. This armor allows them to jump into a battle against a warrior using a pistol and battle on equal terms. Gunslinger are very dangerous fighters.
Ranger: A ranger is a Archer who has not only master their weapon, but has also gained a pet. A pet is basically a wild animal that has form a strong bond with the Ranger, and will help the ranger in a fight. Rangers have incredible range, but are near defenseless in close quarters.
