In terms of covering songs, and then ruining them, who is worse? Barry MacGuire or Shatner?

I think, after some reflection, I'm going with MacGuire. Shatner at least had that cover of Pulp's Common People and Mr. Tambourine Man, which, if you pretend he was aiming for sounding unhinged and crazy, is awesome.

MacGuire had Eve of Destruction, which wasn't so bad, and then a cover of California Dreamin' that wasn't awful but didn't distinguish itself from any of the other versions I've heard.

And of course everything else either of them has done has really kinda sucked.
