Since joining Gaia, I've begun to take an interest in anime and manga. From watching you tube tutorial, Im slowly learning to draw anime. Keep track of my progress here.
When the idea of learning to draw anime first came to me, It didnt trigger that You tube might of offered at least a few tutorials. Instead, I headed straight into copying others work for practise. Looking back now, It was alot harder than I ever imagined it would be. The work was scruffy, not well drawn, and despite that I was a beginner, and theese artists were professionals, My drawings looked nothing like the origionals. I wasnt happy. It was then that I turned to you tube, and found the really helpfull videos. The first few I viewed were just tips and strategies on how to draw things like the eyes and hands. When I moved on to the bigger videos, I was dissapointed. Giudlines, Even though I had never really used them before, I didnt like them. They looked scruffy and hard. Un willingly, I tried a few pictures with them. My giudline views changed in an instant. They were ecedingly helpfull. I stuck to my hobby the next few following days, Improving a llittle more everytime. I really felt a passion for this stuff. Age wise, Im still quite young, lets just say Im under 13, So im pleased with my efforts. When I get the time, Il try and upload some of my work. Its not very good, but thats why you practise, Right?
