MONDAY
So I'm back from my trip to PA! (I only use the abr. 'cause I have NO clue how to spell the actual state . . .) So anyway! I loved the trip! One of the only bad parts though, was driving down. So Here I am, with four other people, stuffed in a small car, leaving at four in the morning for a 12 hour trip; from Maine, to Gettysberg, PA. gonk Dreadful, dreadful, car ride. . . (And just a heads up too, There was this joke on T.V before about Maine being part of Canada, -which it is not- so you might hear a referance to that joke in here)
We finally arrived!!!! At around 3:30 ish, 4 o'clock. Check into our hotel, blah blah, average stuff. A nice thing though, about our hotel was that next door, was a very nice resturant named Perkins. And across the street was Dairy Joy!!!!!!! blaugh Anyway . . . so as we get back from supper at Perkins, we see the hotel clerk circle places on a map, and tell the lady checking in that if she showed her hotel card, she'd get a discount at Perkins . . . Ya, why were we not, told about this???? Nobody told us about a discount, nobody circled spots on a map for us. Then my mum's bf says, 'They must not like Canadians'. Apparently so!
Tuesday
At around 8 in the morning, my mum and sister go for a horse back tour around the city, and my mum's bf, my somewhat step-brother, and I go off and drive around in random places. First we drove around the graveyard, and took pictures of statues, monuments, and graves. We did this for an hour or two, then we visited Devil's Den (Witch is named so for the name of a very large snake that wouldn't leave, called the Devil), The Slaught Pen was across the street (dirt road), and we drove up to Little round top! (It was more interesting then it sounds) After another hour or two of that, we drove into the cityish area, and visted stores, (heads up, if you ever go to Gettysberg, just about ALL of the stores feel a need to be closed on Monday. Just a heads up.) Got some books about ghosts, T-Shirts, Posters. . . All that lovly stuff. Then left to go pick up my mum and sister.
Then we all went out to lunch, and more shopping! I got an awsome book bag, awsome, awsome, so very awsome! Then we all went back to the hotel for a bit longer. Then my mum's bf, sort of somewhat step-brother, and I, went on a ghostly images ghost tour! I'm not sure if any of you are familar with Jennie Wade, but she's the only civilan (sp?) to die in the battle Gettysberg. (Which lasted 3 days) She was baking biscuts for the Union soilders, when a bullet came through two doors, and impalled her through the heart. we got a tour of the house, then our tour guide brought us into thee basment of the house, played us a very creepy recording they got on camera before, and she turned the lights off so people could get pictures of the room. I was scared shitless. So not much happened for the rest of the day.
