The Soldier
Though you walk through the battlefield, hearing the screams and tears of your comrades, you continue to trudge forward, knowing you must survive. You think if your brother, your sister, your mother and father. You think about your son or daughter. You watch as your friends sacrifice themselves, for the same cause you do. You have no clue why you are here. Slowly, you hold up your fist, and you continue to fight. When the war ends, you sit on that plane, and you remember those who lost their lives. Slowly, a tear will slide down your face, and though you have no choice, you let out a scream of pain, though you are not hurt. Your heart has been wounded forever. Slowly, you emerge off of that plane, and see your smiling family, and you say to yourself: " I'm a soldier now. Tell them I don't care, because I'm not gunna quit." And you try and rebuild yourself after those shakey experiences.
