It was said that a great half-demon would
Come to save a young female human. Should
He not come to love her, hearts would be broken
Forever to never be repaired. Forsaken
Lives, living a flase life and never to know true love
Until they bind their hearts so true like a dove
With its mate. This half-demon would be stubborn
In denying his feelings for her. A fire born
Inside of his being, yearning for her
And her gentle, loving touch. He wasn't sure
What it was about her that attracted him,
But once he stopped fighting it, he knew it wasn't whim
That he wanted her. It really was love.
Just for her, he would remove the old glove
He always wore so that he could be able
To touch that soft, silky skin of hers, fabled
To be that of a demon rather than human.
She was but seventeen, a young woman
By demon standards. He looked seventeen
And yet in truth, he was one hundred seventeen.
He was known as Kiro Uraya, but she was
Known as Hitomi, only Hitomi because
She knew no father, no mother to love her.
She will be difficult to love, unsure
Of who to trust with her mind, soul, and body.
At first, she will see his attempts as shoty,
But in time, she will come to love him as who he
Is and she will believe in his love to see
That just like her, he knew no love from another.
His father missing. Mother killed by his brother.
He, just like her, grew up completely alone,
Having nothing to be seen exceptional, shown
That not everything you do is seen as wise.
Rain falls from the skies as if the heaven cries,
Pitter-pattering, falling like leaves in the fall,
Ever-changing, craving that sweet sound of a call.
But when with each other, the day brightens up
And they'll fill the chlance and drink from the cup
Just to bind their two souls together forever
Until the end of their days to see that never
Will they leave the other for any reason,
Their lives changing forever more with the seasons.
