A night to remember.
This is gonna’ be,
A night of wonders.
For every boy and girl.
She’s dressed in blue,
Hair up high,
and in her favorite shoes.
She hears the door bell,
and heads towards the stairs.
Overhears her parents talking,
Saying ‘be back at twelve.’
Steps as fast as her heartbeat,
As fast as she can go.
She sees the joy in his eyes,
As she descends,
The staircase of dreams,
And into the future.
