she was but a whisper in that cold night air.
you couldn't see her, but she was there.
she misses you dearly at times i'm afraid,
and she also regrets the choices she made.

sometimes she sits near you and watches you think,
wondering what it would be like if she didn't break that link.
too far gone where her dreams of late
she made up her mind though, she chose this fate.

she knows that you loved her and she loved you too
but things became too much, and time, it flew.
the next thing she knew she was but a whisper
she was but a memory of her sister

she was but dream that you once had
she knows, and she's sorry for making you sad.
its too late now, she's only a whisper.
dark came too soon for this lover and sister.

she gave up too fast, she gave up too soon.
she gave up on the idea that she'd make it though.
she knows that you loved her, and she loved you too.
but troubles got in the way and she missed heaven's clues

she wants you to smile, she wants you to be glad
she wants you to remember the good times you had
this was her choice, it's over and done
