[WARNING: May 'cause leakage of the eyes]
It had been a little over a month from Ryzuki had said those three little words, and Light could not do this any more, he could not lie to the man he was madly in love with, he could not stand there and watch the worlds greatest detective waste his time trying to find Kira, when he stood right before him, kissing him, touching him, sleeping with him.
He had decided
Running through his plans in his head again. They had changed slightly from his original idea. Instead of leaving a note, he would tell Ryzuki everything in person. The last thing he would see would be the only person he’d ever truly loved – Ryzuki.When everyone left, he could execute his plan. Not much longer…Finally as the day drew to a close, the investigation team got up and prepared to head home.
Light reached his dad before he could leave though. The teen wrapped his arms around his startled father. “I love you, Otousan. You’ve been such a good father. Tell Okaasan and Imouto that I love them, too.” Soichiro, looking surprised, embraced his son. “I love you too, Light-kun.” With a sad smile, Light let his father go. The teen sighed as he watched his father walk out the door. At least my last memory of you is a happy one. Despite all problems recently, I am glad it ended like this... Light turned around slowly. Oh god, Ryzuki. His eyes devoured the detective, ravenous. The spiky black hair, the gorgeous, black-ringed eyes, those luscious lips…
A tear ran down Light’s cheek. “L, I…we need to talk. ”Light led the detective upstairs to the bedroom, and the pair sat down on the bed, facing each other. “L, I need to tell you something. And you need to understand that nothing is your fault, okay? It’s all because of me, and…I did love you. No matter what happens, always believe I loved you.” As a thought arised in the teens head he let out a small bitter laugh that was full of tears “Please, please don't think I am breaking up with you, I could never do that, I love you L Lawliet” he said looking into the man's eyes, the teen inhaled deeply then continued
“Look,” Light sighed, “I’m going to tell you something. You can’t say or do anything until I am finished speaking, okay?” Light drew in a second deep breath. “I am Kira. Or rather, I was Kira.” Light watched the detective. He did not really want to see his reaction just yet. The teen continued. “I was Kira in the beginning. I killed using the Death Note, obviously. The last two rules written in the Death Note are fake; I wrote them down as a trick. When I was in the cell, I gave up ownership of my note. When you give up ownership, you loose all your memories of the Death Note. So after that I wasn’t Kira. When I fell in love with you, L, I was the real me. Then I touched Higuchi’s notebook, which used to be mine, and the memories came back. Misa was the second Kira, but she gave up her memories too. Somehow she touched a notebook again before even I did. Please do not punish her, though. I’m afraid if you did, her death god would kill you. However, Misa gave up ownership of her note this afternoon anyway. She now has no memories. Her notebook is currently in my possession.”
With that part finished, Light reached inside his jacket and produced his Death Note. He opened it to a fresh page and took out a pen. “I am going to write down my own name. After that, I’ll die in forty seconds. I love you, L, and I can’t put you through any more pain, nor can I kill you. I am recording this confession now – here.” Light paused, and pulled out a voice recorder with a flashing red light.
“I, Yagami Light, am Kira.”
Light clicked a button, ending the recording, and handed the device to L. “If you have anything to say, then say it now.” Light said, looking nervously into L’s eyes. They were so full of sorrow. “If you want to why I would not just kill you, well-” His voice broke and a tear rolled down his pale cheek he wiped it away then gave anthoer bitter laugh. “Kira didn’t want to fall in love with you. If Kira kills L, he’s killing me too. It’s easier this way, Ryzuki.” Light took the pen in his hand and poised it over the paper.

Light paused, looking up at L. “I love you, Ryzuki. Goodbye.” He whispered.
Ya…Ga…
