Originally a douchebag jock with a penchant for homophobia and bullying. He's a diva, an attention whore, and a jerk; but deep down he's not a bad guy. He's incredibly good-looking, and well-built (one might say "statuesque"), with blond hair, light blue eyes, and bronzed olive skin…just like his Divine father. He was physically and emotionally abused by his mortal father (resulting in several scars and cigarette burns) after his parents divorced and his mother left him, and as a result became the jackass everyone knew and hated. Once with the Band, however, he changed. He became Damon's best friend, brother, and eventually lover, and even though he's still a diva with a thirst for attention, he isn't always an a*****e about it. He's become rather open and happy after finally coming to terms with himself and allowing himself to do what he needs to be happy, though he can still be a jackass (which Damon finds weirdly attractive). Likes being a war hero. Dislikes fire, having died in a fire twice, and horse jokes (because reasons).
Until recently, he went by the nickname Eric because he thought "Merric" was too gay. Now, though, he's gotten over all of that and while he still prefers the name Eric, he'll answer to Merric, and has no problem being publicly gay. He lives with Damon, but alternates his time between being with him and fighting in the war against the Titans in the Overworld...until recently. He is surprisingly scar-free and glows with a Divine radiance.
Essential Items: Sun-coin pendant (in his earlier stages, he hides this out of self-consciousness), dog tags (current version only, can be hidden under his shirt, but the chain would still be visible).
Optional Items: Magnifying glass (usually keeps this in a small satchel on his waist to keep it protected), gloves
Wardrobe: Currently, he wears generally tighter-fitting clothes, nothing that would billow in the wind when he's flying. Sleeveless t-shirts, jeans, that kind of thing. In Bale Rock, aside from the school uniform, he wore second-hand clothes - old t-shirts and jerseys, his football uniform, etc.
